You can get rid of a grease spot on fabric without cleaning
the entire garment. Just sprinkle a little baking powder or
talcum powder on the spot. Shake or brush the powder off
after the grease has been absorbed.

NO! You would end up with the most nurtitious garbage disposal. Better to take it outside and bury it. Yea sprinkle a little of garden lime on it for good composition.

To get rid of a lipstick stain on fabric, coat the
problem area with hair spray. Let it sit still for a couple of
minutes, then carefully wipe off the excess spray - and
the lipstick. Follow up by laundering as usual.

You worked hard preparing your garden for the
winter, and now the winter winds have flung aside your
ground cover or the sun has melted the insulating snow.
Let your discarded Christmas tree give you good cheer!
Trim some of the branches and use the boughs as a
mulch for those areas where wind or sun have removed
an insulating layer of snow from garden or flower beds.
To those who understand, no explanation is necessary; to those who do not, none is possible.

If you don't have a frost- free faucet for your garden,
you need to spend some time winterising your outdoor
faucets when the weather starts getting nippy. Before the
ground freezes, shut off the flow from the faucets, then
drain each spigot and cover it with newspaper. Wrap
the newspaper in a plastic bag and secure the bag with
rubber bands or tape. The newspaper will insulate the
faucet, and the plastic will keep it dry.
