Default Best Furniture Stores in TT

I'm so glad this board was open!!

I wanted to know your reccommendations for the best places to buy furniture, particularly bedroom sets. And please do not say Courts!

    Standards.

I know furniture people who make stuff for courts so wud rather go to them and get something than go to Courts and pay inflated price.

It helps tht I know furniture shop people to but ah cud tell yuh one thing dem skilled people does real stick. Yuh paying dem and still they sticking.

    Breadwinner, .

Amzz and Sola, thanks. Amzz, Courts' beds cheap! The wood look like it will rot as soon as water hits it. Somewhat like cardboard wood nah. And the mattress is not firm at all. I just want to throw out that bed and get a new one.

Any reviews on Mode Alive, Imperial Furnishings, Bombay, Signature Selection, or Mi Casa? Found these selections on Google.

Ebbs, maybe yuh just bought ah cheap bed made with inferior material. Couple yrs ago my parents bought a bed from courts tht is solid teak. It ended up costing abt $11K tthough.

Nowdays I find the use inferior material and mdf board. So when yuh think its all teak etc is yuh getting teak in parts tht showing and mdf tht stained teak colour at back.
I also saw on a 'teak' table they used teak strips on the top of the table and it was not a solid teak table.

Sola you will be amazed to know that the majority of furnitures here is the USA are very inferior in quality. They are mostly held in place by screws that are too small or glue that comes apart very easily.

I have always preferred wrought iron as they are more durable. Oliver Metal Works [I don't know if they are still in business] is/was the ideal place for any and all kinds of furnitures.

I thought they were opening one in TT?

Except for my living room and patio set which are wrought iron with cushions [I can change the covers] all the other furnitures are by Laura Ashley. They are very elegant and compliment any color you choose for the walls as there are border patterns to match the furnitures that brings a perfect blend of colors

I hear DS Maharaj having a scratch and dent sale.
Last year I saw some furniture store in Grand Bazar have snd sale. Not sure if it was standards if they have outlet in GB.
Is scratch n dent stuff the repossessed stuff? Or they really just new but scratch and dent?
