65% of all humans who have ever lived, are alive right now, 1 billion of them are children. Sustainable?

Yes, without a doubt. I'm definitely going to see it.

Snow White and the Huntsman while not a bad movie, certainly left a LOT to be desired. Its premise could have been grand but it seemed somewhat contrived and chopped together.
Now another movie I just recently saw, Brave, was absolutely terrific and surpassed expectations. Go check it out.

Ok. Well, you know everybody's taste is not the same. I don't expect Snow White to be magnificent. If it were I'm sure I would have heard more about it on the TV stations here and it would not have dipped so fast after the day of its release. If it's okay, I'll be satisfied with that. I know it's going to have flaws. As long as they aren't too too bad or they aren't too too many. I'm going to see it Wednesday.

i am very disappointed in Sirius
It was slow and part of the reason it get so much is bec of the side effects (i watch it in imax)

The disappointment is mutual.
It did start start off slow but that helped the movie along. I think I enjoyed every minute, which surprised me because I expected it to flop after the high point that was The Dark Knight. I also loved loved the way everything was tied up at the end (but I will not spoil it for those who have yet to watch...)

I enjoyed it, didnt even realise that 3 hours passed.
A lot of people are comparing it to the Dark Knight. Joker is the quintessential batman villain and Heath Ledger did an excellent job playing him.
Bane is a villain of a different calibre. And I agree with Sirius, I like how they tied up everything at the end.
Honestly, the only thing i was annoyed about was Bane's mask. It was very hard to understand what he was saying![]()

Tied up??? whey boy, allyuh really easily entertained....esp you sirius, given the fact that you would (should?) have some back info on some of those characters. Can't say too much as i too ent want to spoil the 'fun' for the others.

Some back info would be the key words - I'm not exactly a comic book connoisseur, though I am loving the comic book adaptions that are hitting the big screen the last couple years. I thought the ending was beautifully done. It opened a lot of doors sure, but it did tie up Batman's story; the way it should be given that this was filmed as a trilogy with no following installment.
The Dark Knight Rises should not be compared to The Dark Knight any more than The Dark Knight should be compared to Batman Begins. They are all parts of the same story but have very distinct feels, governed by the villains present and stage of Bruce Wayne's life as Batman in each.
Bane's voice took some getting used to, but I liked the change of pace. Strap's right - Bane is a different calibre of villain to The Joker.
Anne Hathaway made a fantastic Catwoman.

Yes, I agree Sirius. It was a good end to this trilogy....on to the next!
I would love to see Christian Bale back as Bruce Wayne and the B-man!
