I was not there so I cant tell if she asked Shaq or not, just like people were no there when Oma and Paula did their thing , but that did not stop anyone from crying shame on them, or saying because of their office they should not of done that or allowed that to happen. Manning son was trying to get a professional league going, with the hope of giving the young players exposure so that they could of made it on a bigger stage, what I see happening here is a competition for 1 million dollars if a community wins, and players will get a stipend to play. Lets say its URP in a sport package, or the CEPEP of sports, all in the hope of stopping crime. To me its another scheme to waste taxpayers money on.

Among them is that players qualifying for the basketball tournament are not allowed to engage in any criminal activities. Failure to adhere would lead to the entire team being disqualified. In addition, team members must reside in the community in which they are competing.

I have seen this type of program working here to reduce crime in the inner city ..Israel Idonije from the Chicago Bears runs a program here with kids from inner city schools and we have seen a drop out rate of 75% drop to 12% over 2 years ... kids want to graduate ... becuase if you drop out you lose the perks of the program ..

it may work ... we have not seen the overall crime rate drop ... but we have hope because kids are staying in school ... and graduating ... once you start missing classes you are kicked out .. he comes in twice a year to motivate the kids ...

I agree maccogirl. Trinidad & Tobago is treated as a show and tell country because of this. We don't have SAUTT, blimps, OPVs, eye in skies, helicopters or anything with advanced technology to help stop the crime. We had fight the crime the caveman way with sticks and bones because of this government. Ah mean in 2012, when everything is so advanced worldwide, this only kind of thing we could afford how pathetic.
