There are reports this morning that environmental activisit Dr. Wayne Kublalsingh has been arrested by police who destroyed the Re-Route Movement campsite which was set up to protest part of the planned Point Fortin highway

Was there no other way the gov't could have handled the re-route movement than by using the police to destroy the campsite and arresting Kubalsingh?

Better I stay quiet and not protest nothing nah.

Eyewitness saying on I95 FM that at 5:30 AM, SRP Jack Warner, with sniffer dog Colin Partap, led an exercise of soldiers and police to the Re-Route camp.

Jack went to one of the prayer rooms first, where he threw down something, and then the demolition started in the prayer rooms and the rest of the camp was destroyed. Wayne Kublalsingh put up a little resistance and he was arrested.

SRP Warner was laughing throughout the whole exercise.

If what the eyewitness say is true, and that Jack attacked the people and dem prayer rooms first, then Jack is ah real evil fella.

I know that FIFA had no laws.

But Trinidad and Tobago has laws.

Even illegal squatters (people which I absolutely abhor) have certain rights.

I could be wrong but I believe that SRP Jack Warner needed to get a court order from Justice Jack Warner, before ordering 13 soldiers and 4 police officers (note the law enforcement ratio) to breakdown the people camp.

squatters, depending on their length of tenure do have some rights. Overnight squatters have little or no rights as compared to a 20yr squatter.
