breds, ah does freeze some, also dry some , bottle some, mek plenty jellies and ting.....u would be amazed at how low my food bill is....plus ah doh fertilize, so dey keep better...

This year I got an attack of cucumber beetle that destroyed all my cucumber plants. Luckly, they had already produces a fair amount when it happened. I tried these usless and expensive organic insecticide and some soap/dish washing liquid without any success. Now it looks like the zuchinni is getting affected. I am fedup of zucchini now as as the season is coming to a close I will let them have their party.

shaddeck, how do you control slugs in your garden?
I used metaldehyde in the past but because of the constant rain this year, chemicals were quickly washed away.
In the end, my daughter and I had slug expeditions every morning and evening, where we manually skewered any new discoveries and washed them down the storm drains. Nice teaching tool that was.

The beer suggestions were also impossible to try because of the constant rain. There was a population explosion of another non native type of slug, and these buggers are B I G !

beer always worked fuh me, an eef dey ah treated fuh ah couple ah years dey usually die out, ah have´nt had any fuh de last few years because orf dis treatmunt....

yuh may wanna try ah row orf sand around de grow beds, dey slime usually sticks tuh de sand an prevent dem from crossing into de beds....

ah do not use any chemicals on meh food....
