Default India to Britain: We don't need the 'peanuts'

It is also claimed that Pranab Mukherjee and other Indian ministers tried to reject the money - around £280million a year - from the UK in 2011, but the British Government 'begged' them to take the money.

Easy 2 say. Hard 2 do.

Some of the countries that've told the US to back the hell off are N. Korea, Iran and Cuba.

It should be recognised, however, that one of the prime reasons that Indian businesses are so keen to invest overseas is because they are fed up with corruption at home. Bribery, kickbacks, and abuses are rife throughout Indian life, from the very top of the politics and commerce to the lowest levels of public administration.
And this endemic corruption has profound implications for the aid budget, because the truth is that so much of the money disappears without ever reaching the people for whom it is intended.

Default Re: India to Britain: We don't need the 'peanuts'

falx- i found out the reason behind Britain's offering and India's rebuttal. It's a story about 5 years in the making.

India placed a tender out for a fleet of fighter jets... Boeing, britain, russia, france an whoever else makes fighter jets put in their bids.
india sorted the bids out and i think it was down to britain and france, which india ultimately made a deal with france because they had the lowest bid.

    then this story comes out:

LONDON – U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron said Wednesday he would continue to do everything he could to encourage India to consider the Eurofighter Typhoon consortium for its multi-billion dollar fighter jet contract. The Indian government said Tuesday that France's Dassault Aviation SA has emerged as the lowest bidder for a contract to supply 126 fighter jets to the country's air force."The decision is obviously disappointing, but it is about who the Indians have assessed as making the lowest bid and therefore asked to enter into further negotiations. They have not yet awarded the contract," Mr. Cameron told lawmakers in parliament.

    I
think that includes giving them peanuts
65% of all humans who have ever lived, are alive right now, 1 billion of them are children. Sustainable?
