Many Contemporary Christians believe that they will be swept away from the earth just before the great tribulation.
Is this Biblical? No!
Then why this misconception? Because many Christians are still under the old covenant: “ the fear of the Lord."
They believe that a punishing God will rain hell on earth and so they have created this misconception that they will be swept away just before it begins.

“If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.” ~ M Gandhi
The rapture is just another religious misconception among many. For example the misconception that those who are not save will be going to hell.
It doesn’t take insightful study nor do we have to be biblical scholars to know that no one is going to hell.
All it takes is a careful reading of Revelation Chapter 20.
Then we’ll realize that all those whose names are not found in the book of life will be going to the same place that death and hell is going.
Rev. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
The lake of fire represent non-existence.
In other words death, hell and all those whose names are not found in the book of life were cast into non-existence.
We are commanded to know truth but we must first free ourselves of all religious misconceptions to make way for the truth.

It’s written:
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Prov. 9:10
Unfortunately the church is stuck at “the fear of the Lord” and is seemly unable to move forward to the next step; “The knowledge of God.”
The belief in the rapture is the consequence of a church unable to accept God as love. Stuck with the misconception of an adversarial relationship between us and our Father.
God does not punish us. We reap what we sow.
The tribulation is the harvest of us sowing to our selfish desires.
And so one misconception leads to another.
The misconception that disobedience and punishment is the message of the scriptures has led to the misconception that God’s judgement is His punishment for our wrong doings.
God’s judgement is the return to righteousness.
For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. (Psalms 94:14-15KJV)
God is love and it is His plan to return all to rightness.

It’s written: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:”
Those that are born of God have overcome the world because they believe in the power of spirit over all in the earth.
And because they know their Father as love, as guidance and as protection they have accepted His promise that:
Ps. 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Ps. 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Ps. 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
Ps. 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
Ps. 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
For those who have overcome the world there is no need for a rapture, but for those who are still of this world there is the misguided hope that there is one.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
