Any1 uses 'ORIGIN' to dwnld games?

So i tried downloading 'Origin' from EA games, installed it and i keep getting the following message every time i try to open the program:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

I googled the error code and saw others were having the same problem in the EA forums, but it seems as though none of the suggested solutions worked.

Was wondering if anyone else has/had that problem and may have a solution.

I'm trying to buy Star Wars The Old Republic and apparently i can only download it (legally) from EA games via Origin.

I never used Origin.

stabbing in the dark here, but have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the program>
