Default The AG's Dereliction Of Duties:

    The AG's Dereliction Of Duties:

There are those who according to the Scriptures are wise to do evil but to do good they have no sense: all they have is sense to do nonsense.

After years of delay and denial of justice to the population of Trinidad and Tobago on the Ish, Steve and late Hafeez matter that involved fraud charges brought against these men on the Piarco Airport Terminal Project, Attorney General Anand Ramlogan now seeks to bring closure to his responsibility for this matter by saying that he has forwarded the matter to the Director of Public Prosecutions so that the ball is now in his, DPP Roger Gaspard's, court.

It is common knowledge that Ish, Steve and the late Hafeez were UNC financiers and that the current AG is a member of that party. The body language these associations produce invariably create a clear perception in the eyes of the public that the AG might be inclined to pervert the course of justice to protect his party colleagues in their allegation of fraud case.

So suspected so done: after further stalling of this case for well over a year and thereby wasting State funds on it to the tune of some $100 million I recall according to a bold statement by the AG himself, the AG has now referred the matter to the DPP as he should but in the process has neglected to set the DPP the mandate for priority treatment of it as he also should.

But these lawyers are wise to do evil: twenty years ago an engineering consultant related to a past President of T and T owed me a sum of money for work I had done for him. I hadn't much choice but to take him to Court even upon his own suggestion. This I did but doing so was clearly to his advantage: he was evidently in league with those that operate in those circles. My lawyer, one who is well known for the 800-Tips advertisements he did under the past regime, after promising me that within six weeks there would have been a resolution of the case filed it in the High Court where it took seven years before even being called up for hearing.

I later understood what that maneuver was calculated to achieve. It was to allow the businessman accused to put the money he owed me on a fixed deposit or other savings plan earning a 10% interest rate say, let it incur interest for seven years till the amount in the account doubled then remit to me the original half owed without interest while he made off with the other half. This is the kind of tricks that are done by those some call 'trickydadians' as though they were cute and smart.

This 'time is money' old beaten track of unscrupulous lawyers and their business co-conspirators is what the AG is evidently playing as his trump card here in this Ish, Steve and Hafeez matter. This sense to do nonsense, evidenced by the delays he is creating with the case, is evidently Anand Ramlogan's claim to fame as AG: he seems oblivious to the downstream effects of social injustice that is caused when the wealth of a Country is stolen, in his delusionary state he does not pay attention to the far reaching repercussions of such acts of greed, he evidently does not connect his 'smart man' maneuvers to flooding, lack of proper health care at the hospitals or even to his own unhealthy big belly.

Now, with respect to the AG's claim that the matter is out of his hands it being in the hands of the DPP may I point out that, in my view, the DPP is to the AG what any PS is to a Minister in other Ministries of Government. Further, from Clause 76 (2) of the Constitution of Trinidad and Tobago it is clear that the AG is responsible for the administration of legal affairs in Trinidad and Tobago which evidently includes the delivery of justice on behalf of the State. This the AG does through the DPP as is evidently implied in Clause 90 (3) (a) where the DPP is made specifically responsible for criminal prosecutions on behalf of the State which clearly then he must do in accordance with a mandate set by the AG.

Should the DPP be negligent with the AG's mandate the AG may, as any Minister his PS, initiate disciplinary proceedings against him by referring him to the Service Commission, in this case the Judicial and Legal Service Commission. In my view, these disciplinary matters might result in the DPP being suspended, demoted, or even dismissed from practicing at the bar.

So the AG has the power to exercise administrative control over the business of legal affairs in this Country for which he is responsible.

Therefore, this covert plan by the AG to protect these three criminals in the eyes of the public
amounts to nothing short of a conspiracy by him to use his office to rip off the State, in my view. This is a classical case of abuse of power. It is a case of the AG being delinquent with his duties to manage the legal process, which process he has the power and duty to implement. All this negligence on his part redounds to the detriment of the State.

In my view, this is what is classified in law as misbehavior in public office, an actionable offence that requires that criminal negligence or dereliction of duties charges be brought against the AG with the view of recovering cost to the State incurred as a result of his evident deliberate negligence as well as of removing him from office.

Any citizen with the means might be qualified to take such action but ideally the Opposition Party has both the means and duty to do so, in my view.

*** I know that the PNM prosecuting corrupt officials is something that will hardly likely be seen but I am just bringing awareness to the public, since knowledge is power, and alerting the Opposition of their duty.

*** Amen: Where Roger is the presiding judge over the Court of Public Opinion which therefore is called "roger's court of in my view"..

You should also read the next thread I intend to start if I get the opportunity called "Floating Of The $ And Murders". It will give further insight into the wickedness that is being perpetrated on this Country facilitated by our leaders.
