Dr. Christiaan Barnard was credited with being the first doctor to perform a successful heart transplant. He removed Louis Washkanki's heart and replaced it with that of a female. But, did you ever wonder who was the doctor that removed the donor's heart for Dr. Bernard?

His name was Hamilton Naki, a Black surgeon who never went to medical school.
