I thought we should have a thread on this. Pool the resources of the few people that have flow HD.
Anyone else seeing a PRV HD channel (#591)? Right now the guide says it is showing Terra Nova and House after - which makes me think it is actually a Fox channel. I can't actually switch to that channel: it's listed as "Private Channel" and gives the usual call-to-subscribe info.
As a side note Fox HD isn't showing anything either right now, since CCN TV6 purchased 'exclusive rights' to that program and requested a blackout.
hrm..
I refuse to pay Flow extra for HD when it is now becoming the broadcasting standard.

20 channels in HD is a joke. A real joke. Half of them are in a premium package too. 5 means there's no HD to speak of. Don't care for LMN - as far as my viewing goes, it could be discontinued and I wouldn't even notice. There's no HD for History, SciFi, or any of the major movie networks. They filled the already limited HD lineup with news networks of all things.
I was bigging up Netflix on HD content. But while we're on that, for $8, the on-demand content we can get in English on Netflix is worth it, especially seeing as they now started and more content is undoubtedly to come. I thought it would not be worth it but since I started the trial I decided I'll keep it.

they do have Nat Geo HD, which seems right up your alley. There's HBO HD and Moviecity HD for movie channels- just yesterday they had Game of Thrones looking wonderful in HD. LMN I'd say is one of the more popular channels on cable, so having that in HD is no small boon.
Some of the channels you mentioned I couldn't even get in HD when I was paying Time Warner $100US/month for cable. I figure there may be distributor or technical issues preventing them from switching over.

Nat Geo is a good channel on the lineup - did not know HBO was on it. It wasn't listed on the HD station lineup.
I understand there may be some distribution issues in getting all the channels but to be honest, until there are more channels such as History, Discovery, SyFy, MTV, Cartoon Network, Disney, etc. a lot of people just won't see the value in it - especially so if the likes of TV6 are able to usurp the rights to the much wanted HD content people pay extra to get.
I say, if the local stations want to get exclusive broadcast rights for HD shows, then start broadcasting in HD themselves.
