TCL keeps going down![]()
any traders on the tt exchange here?
GHL and Sagicor may be in for a long hard year, they're already reeling from the international disasters. Now with the England riots, im sure their bottomline is going to be hit hard via their london lloyds operations.
Even though they're both scrambling to get out of their lloyds affiliations, it just may be too late for them, this year anyway.
just my 2 cents, i could be wrong.

Prestige iz trading near an all time hi..
I think I saw an article on the net a while ago where one of the KFCs in TT has the biggest sales in the world.
not over the last few days---TCL has always been a casualty of declining construction in Trinidad and I would be rather curious as to the expectations of the management with the amount of debt they entertained in terms of their projections for medium and long term sales.

PHL will take a hit during this SOE mainly due to the curtailed business hours at their sales points though I notice that it's business as usual at some of their locations especially in the Southern Region of TT.
There is current a major re-imaging thrust of the sales points and a change in menu offerings to try to match the current levels of disposable income in addition to cutting expenses as much as possible [think 'Long John Silvers'].
We're bearing in mind that they operate other brands via franchise [Pizza Hut,TGIF ,TCBY and Mrs. Fields] which are taking a hit in the islands most notably their joint venture in the DR viz the KFC franchise there. This has been dragging down the balance sheet for sometime despite that management changes that they make there.TGIF in Jamaica's improved somewhat and they hope that this will continue this year as the main issue in that market's the ever fluctuating Jamaican dollar and the sluggish local economy which is heavily dependent on tourism.
Though these lackluster brands may not be contributing much to PHL's profits, they are indeed a cause for concern but not one to sell.
Just my TTD0.02...
