$1.3m for People’s Band

Now what the hell wrong with this government to be running a price tag of $1.3 million to bring out a people's band??

How Gypsy work that one out since people coming with their own costumes, so if I want I can jump in the band with a poe and a t-shirt saying PP on it. How that costing Gypsy anything to produce?

What is it an all inclusive with free drinks and food, if that is the case I in that for sure I will be chipping along side they drinks truck having a good time with meh poe in hand. If no drinks and free food then what costing the 1.3 million I would really love to know since is part of my dam taxpaying dollars they spending willy nilly once again.

No matter how I stretch my mind to think about it, it cant be just for music trucks, I know Despers playing for them on the road but 1.3mill that is crazy, what else Gypsy providing like he buy out a few sections in Tribe or what??

i doh play carnival so i doh know what the cost is for organising, security, toilet facilities, music trucks, etc May be you can get ur MP to ask that question in Parliament.

well its carnival time so i guess if yuh doh like carnival then jus stay home

Even if you don't play mas you must at least feel that figure is obnoxious to say the least, something is not right with that figure no band puts out a million and a half in entertainment on the road, if that was the case many would of not even bothered to bring out a band, and mind you this is all Gypsy is paying for music as the band is a come as you are kind of event, make something anything and jump in the band.

I think it is really obscene for Gypsy to give this figure considering its taxpayers money he is using to fund this, this is the most ridiculous thing I have heard from any government, and I really cant see why this is even necessary at all, guess once its not his money he is spending say what guess its easy to spend away.

That's the way it is in the real world. They could always supplement these "low" wages with a job that requires them to actually work for a whole day or sell drugs.
