    Default Healthy breakfast ideas

Looking for ideas that can incorporate local food we already know. Must be simple to make and must be healthy.
This is what I do. I always have filet tilapia marinating with local herbs (galic, pepper, lime, cilantro, ets). And I always have whole wheat pita bread in my kitchen. Jenny Craig is the one I use cuz it small (100 cal)

Fry tilapia in a little olive oil flavored in a 1/2 tsp of butter, 3 min on each side.
Toast pita bread in tawa untill crisp on both sides. Cut in 1/2 and put pcs of tilapia inside.
Serve w a cup of tea or coffee.
Takes less than 10 miniutes to prepare and it is healthy. I estimate the calorie count to be 250

I also serve my tilapia and pita bread with baigan choka. Paste the inside of the pita bread with the baigan choka then put the tilapia and must eat while hot. This is unbelievably delicious, if anyone want to try it out.

Breakfast cereals dread. And not Frosties or any old ting wit plenty sugar. Cornflakes, porridge, allbran or weetabix. dey's de ting right there!

Trini cooked breakfasts taste good, but fried bake ent really good for yuh (well it fried). neither is doubles. A healthy Trini breakfast to me is a roast bake or sada with potato, tomato choka, or boiled egg filling.

This sounds like a quick meal. You cooking the vegies before you put them on the pita. I am thinking that since the pita only needs about 3 mins on the tawa before burning, 3 mins would be insufficient for the vegies to cook.

Mama I hv the same opinion for doubles and I does hardly ever eat fry bake, maybe once a yr and is only a bite or two going down. Roast bake sounds good, over here in NY I use Italian Chiabatta bread as a replacement. This make excellent sandwiches esp when toasted on the outside if you looking for the crisp. Must eat hot.

Today, using the same pita idea, I did king fish the same way with olive oil only. But I added baby bok choi which I sauted in the olive oil after the fish was done.
Toasted Pita bread cut in 2 pcs
Put bok chy inside and then piece of fish
Can add pepper sauce to suit yr taste
    serve with cup of tea
I estimate this to be 300 cal

I've been eating this regularly and love it!!!

    Egg white and shrimp omelette:
    Two or three egg whites
    fresh or dried chopped chives
    salt(ah pinch)
    pepper(ah pinch)
    Mix up nice...

Take raw or cooked shrimp, split them and put in a heat skillet (base the skillet with olive oil)
If using raw shrimp, deveined them and clean them good, no need to season them.
Cook them shrimp until, if raw , they turn pink. If they are already pre-cook, just heat them up a bit.
Then add the egg white mixture. When the egg white firm up around the shrimp, fold it and cook up for another couple of minutes.
    the serve and enjoy!!!!!
You can serve this with some fruit: mango, cantelope, melon, strawberries, grapes, etc.
