It is an Ernst & Young summary of the tax provisions in the legislation.The Finance (No. 2) Act, 2010 was assented to by the President on 13 December 2010 and is now in
force. The legislation seeks to give effect to the measures contained in the 2010-2011 Budget Statement
delivered by the Honourable Winston Dookeran, Minister of Finance, on 8 September 2010. This bulletin
highlights the main tax provisions contained in the legislation.
Unless otherwise stated, the amendments are all effective from 1 January 2011.
