There is a well known case in insurance circles in Trinidad, (I wonder if anybody on the forum will know about this), a very popular retail store on Frederick street caught fire sometime in the lete 80's (or perhaps it was the eraly 90's), and within 1 hour of that fire starting, the San Fernando branch also caught fire and both buildings eventually burned to the ground !!!

Seeems suspicious, right ?

Well, guess what ?

After and extensive investigation by the inurers, it was determined that both fires were ligitimate, and it was just a co-incident that the 2 stores burned down on the same day.

Incidentally, the stores are now reopened and doing very good business, as a matter of fact they have expanded and now have more stores.

It's all about claiming on the insurance. WE eh have no dedicated insurance investigators to go after these men and even if we have them so they undoubtedly not incorruptible.

I doh think Mode Alive bun down for money IMHO cause de poor man was crying. I cud be jess naive eh but that's how I feel.

The rest cud be legitimate but it have the not so legitimate ones that go make it look bad for the legit ones. :geek:

Mode Alive was most likely genuine, but insurance scam arson is common.
