To the men in particular. However, the ladies can also state, what advice they would give their husband, or significant other, in this regard. Please do not disregard. This is a serious question. In light of Angelina Jolie's decision to have a mastectomy, to minimize her chances of getting breast cancer, i think the following question is in order. If your doctor told you, that you have a 75% chance of getting testicular cancer, would you have the balls, to have your testicles removed ?
The colonist used us to enrich their mother countries but they developed functioning societies to do so. Here in Trinidad we inherited such a society with many functioning systems, which we have allowed to fall to ruin. The fact that we dismantled a functioning rail system, tracks and all, is reprehensible. Now like fools we continue to talk about a rapid rail system as if that is possible, starting from scratch today.
Our educational system designed by the colonist for their purpose remains in tact because we are yet to discover our own purpose. We are perpetually in a state of industrial turmoil because as when colonized a large part of the population is kept hand to mouth.
Today our capital city is actually an ugly mess with all it’s historic sites in disrepair. What’s frightening though, there is no rumbling sounds of dissatisfaction. Unlike their fore parents under the colonist the people continue to accept the promises and the disappointments without a murmur as just another facet of “the postcolonial mind.”

I have opted to start this thread in continuance of a discussion begun at "Two explosions at Boston marathon finish line". The topic deals with the type of coverage of supposed global media networks such as CNN and BBC as well as the history, pros and cons of a one world government and whether or not we are heading in that direction. The thread emphasis really is supposed to be on the latter topic of One World Government, but global media networks are very likely an inevitable part of that discussion anyway.

I am also kind of hoping that by starting this new thread other forumites will be willing to engage in some meaningful discussion and/or debate over the topic area. I for one find postulation about where society may be headed to be incredibly intriguing.

Link to that thread at the last relevant post: http://www.ttonline.org/threads/2279...l=1#post422029

I will begin the next post by addressing a post Fumas made in the last thread but I really am hoping that other forumites will join the discussion in discussing pros and cons, hows and whys, whens and ifs, etc.

I am just shocked to say the least and even more angry reading some of the comments condoning this sort of behavior. The ironic part is that a lot of parents are quick to blame these children saying "if it was my child, I would beat them" but let me tell you, they learned it from ADULTS and some of these same parents who complain about it are the ones dancing (? nah that's not dancing) half naked during carnival season.

I am NOT a prude but that's just RIDICULOUS.
