First, allow me to remind Mr. Volney of the advice I gave him before the general election.
“I did not hear Mr. Volney’s statement. But I was reliably informed by a source in which I have full confidence that Mr. Volney claimed to the led by and, filled with the Spirit of God to speak while addressing a political meeting. I suspect in light of the fact he is now a UNC candidate on a political platform he could mean to speak against the evil practices of the PNM.
Well Mr. Volney in just one week you are showing the symptoms of foot in mouth disease. I did not form an opinion of you on the Brad Boyce issue and, on your decision to enter politics but you entered my arena when you made the blasphemous claim to be filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking on the behalf of God. My first reaction to this was if this was the same Volney whose view was that he was not being made an appeal judge because he was not born again.
First, let me inform you sir that you need to be born again before you claim to speak on the behalf of the Holy Spirit. Second, that claim is not unique to you. The first recorded instance occurred in the early Church and is recorded in Acts.19: 13-16. I cannot now go into an exposition of this piece but I advice you to read it and see what happens to the “vagabonds” who sought to duplicate what they saw. What sir descended upon those upstarts is a fate I pray will not by yours.
There are some well known terms used to describe the spiritual; mental and moral condition of someone who offended the Almighty and were duly punished. In other words they did the crime and are now doing the time: “Spirit lash”; “Blight”; “Some body put mouth on he”; “He cuss” etc. are some terms which readily come to mind.
You did not ask my opinion Mr. Volney but at the risk of being misunderstood I suggest that you let your speech be with grace flavored with salt.”
Mr. Volney! By your latest outburst you have demonstrated that you did not take my advice or that you did not learn much in the interim. I had a lot more to say to you sir but after reading that you are standing firm behind this latest “scurrilous and defamatory attack on the office of the Chief Justice…” I will only be casting pearls before swine if I dare advice you again.
My only is recourse is to pray. Father, forgive him for he know not what he is doing.
