And it is being implemented in a surreptitious manner, with the hope that the population will now forget their campaign rhetoric and accept these projects as necessary. The question begs itself. Does the PP have the moral authority to implement these projects after they have vilified and lacerated both the PNM and Manning for these said projects? The honest answer is no.
The PP must not be allowed to get away with this. This is blatant deception. In my recent article A Highway worthy of consideration. I opined that this Government condemned the high way projects an unnecessary and excessive. To now hear that they are implementing, in increments, parts of the highway project is insulting to the national intelligence.
Let me remind citizens, that the 2020 vision was the product of a group of academic and intellectual who held consultations with a wide cross section of the national community, in order to produce a final document. There is nothing the PP offered on the campaign trail or during their stay in Government thus far, that can match or, even come close to the development plans contained in the 2020 vision document.
This document is in essence an agenda for national development and must be revisited by those genuinely interested in the development of Trinidad and Tobago. If the PP is now embracing this document they must tell us so and, not engage in the clandestine and unabashed implementation of projects contained in the document they publicly vilified and condemned.

The PP must not be allowed to get away with this. Citizens must take note of this and deal with it at the appropriate time. I did say elsewhere that PNM supporters will have the last laugh. But wait, do not begin just yet. Wait until after the budget presentation. Only then citizens might realize the scam the PP pulled on them. Namely, promising a PP heaven but now delivering a PNM vision. Great is the PNM and it shall prevail.
