Is there a wireless usb adapter that can connect directly to a usb port of a dsl modem, (preferably the paradyne)? I usually spend a couple nights each week by my uncle.. he has his computer & dsl modem upstairs and I stay in a room downstairs with my laptop & would like to get internet on it from his dsl connection...now I have a wireless router at home but i doh want to have to walk with it every time since I travel.. and I doh think he leaves his computer on all the time.. (other wise I could get a wireless usb to plug in to a usb port on his computer) but if I could get one that can connect straight to the modem and therefore broadcast to my laptop.. do those types of usb connectors actually exist?
if not, maybe is there some type of converter cable i could use from the modem which could plug in to a normal wireless usb adapter?

I have never seen a wireless adapter to wireless adapter system. The only thing I could think of is a Powerline adapter, an adapter that connects to the router and is plugged into the house power line. Then you can go anywhere in the house and plug in the other adapter to the power socket. These use the regular RJ45 jacks (at the Laptop and the router port) on the adapters. I believe that there is also a wireless power adapter for the laptop end.

Why not just get another wireless router and connect it to your uncle's modem?
