SWEET SWEET T&T ..... LOVE IT UP :!:
THREE men were killed between Thursday night and Friday morning in Sangre Chiquito, Laventille and Carapo Village in Arima.
Deonarine “Ricky” Singh, 42, of Kelly Village, was shot dead in Sangre Chiquito, a short distance away from Sangre Grande.
Also, Felix Ross, 23, of La Horquetta was stabbed several times at Trotman Street in Laventille, while an unidentified man was shot in the face by gunmen while escaping his burning house at Carapo.
A police report said that around 7.40 pm on Thursday, a 65-year-old farmer was at his Sangre Chiquito home watching television when he heard a commotion outside.

The man (EDDIE THOMAS) who was killed in CARAPO, His brother who lives in OCALA, is my best friend. We went and hangout by him last night. He is leaving today to go home to his brother's funeral. What can i say to my friend to console him. THAT CRIME IS A WORL-WIDE PROBLEM, THAT PEOPLE GET KILL IN NEW YORK TOO, or should i tell him that his brother's murder is just COLLATERAL DAMAGE. Just be supportive and keep your comments about the state of crime to within the context it arises and console yuh friend like a true friend would.
My condolences to your friend.

Well Dancer, Eddie is related to a very good friend whom I met in this forum 2 years ago name Richard. I don't about this very often but I lost a niece Karen Madoo [brother's daughter hit by a stray bullet] and a Cousin David Sookraj [my Uncle's grandson] in the crime spree. David and his brother Daniel were held up at gunpoint in Grande after selling their produce in the market. Daniel survived the attack. David is dead.
So when people want to flap dey blasted gums about how sweet T&T is, I say let them keep T&T and I pray that they themselves end up to be a victim of crime, and live to tell about it.

You know its really sad to see that big grown people in Trinidad accept that frikkin propoganda that crime is a worldwide problem and therefore there is nothing wrong with the crime spree in TNT today.
I was so stunned to hear people actually saying that with conviction when I was home a month ago. The evidence of citizens living in fear is everywhere in TNT today, security firms are doing bumper business, people alternate their routes home, switch cars with other family members, everybody applying for gun licenses, locking up their door before 6 o'clock, nightclubs have security guards walking people to their cars in teh car park, and people still fleeing TNT to those other countries where there is crime but also positive, sustained action to deal with crime.
I fear the crime probblem in TNT has long passed the point of no return, thanks to the government's lack of political will to deal with the issue of crime.

Scorp, I will say this again, and I only quoting Patrick eh. THE PNM HAS THE POLITICAL WILL, NOT THE POLITICAL SKILL to do anything about it.
The PNM is the Party the people wanted in Gov't, meaning they want a Gov't who .. through their Prime Minister has admitted the HIS Gov't does not have the skills necessary to deal with the crime situation. So let people be like ostriches with their head in the sand, eventually a bullet will hit either theirs or the the asses of one of their relatives and yuh will hear a different tune.

Another one I heard back then was "The media does just focus on the bad things, they don't ever talk about the good thing. That's why they have so much crime."

They have the will and the money but not the skill, and they dare not exercise the will to hire the skilled to curb the crime situation, cause it is not in their best interest to do.

Even Priests are lamenting;
“PEOPLE in society are allowed to disobey little laws, maybe that is why they graduate to disobeying bigger laws, because there seems to be no consequences” — this was the most likely suggestion given by Father Moses of the Talparo Roman Catholic Church yesterday, as he attempted to give reason for the worsening crime situation in the country.
The priest was delivering the brief homily during the funeral service of murdered Jesus Bompartt, 31, who was killed by bandits while at his vegetable garden on Wednesday morning.

if we go down that road we may never come back from it Pnut. Let america chill so for awhile let trinis learn to solve their own problems fuss. The people need to rebel we need another bloody friday before the government sit up and think that they need to do something. But in saying that so many of the wrong people does dies in these incidents and is only more of the same go be happening during and after as was proven by the last coup attempt.
trinis need to stop focusing on partying and carnival and start realising that it is not the other man's problem but all of our problem and get up and do something viable and long lasting and with echos that will make even the next generation sit up and follow suit.
it starts with us having a group mentality and coming together and saying we tired of yuh rubbish decisions and yuh lack of care towards de grass roots dat constantly want to believe in yuh and keep giving yuh a chance to eff we up every five years. stickwithtiveness is what is needed and believers.

K, having a group mentality and coming together would be in an ideal situation. The reality that is facing T&T right now is far from being ideal. We have the copycat and petty criminals, Police who are criminals, Politicians who are convicted criminals, Soldiers who are criminals and then there are the upper and middle class civilian career criminals. THAT IS REALITY ...Full stop!
That kind of reality needs draconian measures to bring back security and stability to our peaceful Isle once more. Chandrabadhan recognized that and asked for foreign investigation in the Police Service and he got it .. it is time to bring in foreign intervention. I know it is a bitter pill to swallow, but bitter medicine will bring a cure very swiftly. If the Gov't does not, then it will only get worse.
