I wish the man a speedy recovery.
But I could understand Rivers sentiments. And is not like rivers wish the man dead or something (unless he did and his post was edited before i signed on).
Justice Volney has long been perceived as a biased judge who has played a part in justice being denied to many. But thats what Court of Appeal there for, and they usually overturn his decisions.

And what standards have you judged him against? How many times he ruled in the PNM's favor?

Not sure is anyone answered your question; if they didn't....
Volney is a judge who was involved in a very controversial case where 'some' thinks he charged the jury to come up with the wrong verdict....the end result being that a person some thought was guilty walked.
This whole case has been called into question and has become a political football now that he is involved in politics'.
....see topics on him on the Politics board
