Well, good resource of link information that teachers are encouraged to avoid pointing out mistakes for fear of 'crushing creativity'.

On a purely biological selection, there is no innate ability to read... verbal language is a human ability,.. it exists in all cultures.

Reading is an unnatural act,.. there is no genetic selection for this ability,.. remember literacy is very yound up to 100 years ago the majority of people were not expected to read.

Our eyes are built for scanning the horizon... for hunting,.. looking for fruit in trees at a distance etc etc..

I know a very good life guard, here in Trinidad, who is a severe dyslexic who can't read... He has saved lives... is he any less human ?

The very skills that make reading hard for him make him ideal for the job he does.

Besides ink on paper does not give depth perception,... which is why we do sand writing,...

One day we will be able to look beyond the people and look at the system... that asks the impossible..
