Yea. i saw tht just last week. I had just come from work outdoors and rain did wet me so I had on ole mash up jersey, slippers and jeans. I went into Point Fortin subway and i ordered some subs. i told the gurl put double meat in a couple of them. She watch me and was like..tht go be an extra $8 you know :roll:

That's so true. When I'm out in my scruffy casual, jeans t-shirt/jumper I may not get much notice except for those guys looking at my rear. When I'm dressed up, formal or semi -casual, even my local stores are more polite to me.

I'm down to earth, practical, sensitive,creative, inteligent, I may worry sometimes but others see me as easy going, self assured, big sisterly, motherly, caring, cute, smart, scruffy, friendly, bossy, quiet and talkative.

My image usually changes depending on the mood I’m in but they are all just different sides of the same me. When I’m home, I’m all about comfort so that is my comfy pair of short pants, tank top and bare feet and chances are no comb has seen the hair for the morning, or the day for that matter. When I’m going to classes its preppy chic and I notice people have a lot of stereotypes, just because I have a Chinese surname and wear glasses people automatically think I’m smart! Work is power suits, because when you work with business men and being the youngest person in the office with a baby face you need to look like you didn’t climb out of the playpen yesterday. Yup business is all cool, calm and slightly intimidating. When I’m going out I’m bold, bright and classy, frilly skirts and the like. And when I’m in my “don’t mess with me mood” I’m totally Goth-out which keeps all the corner liming players at bay but I do tend to attract a lot of Jehovah Witnesses in my Goth outfits. for most people I think they treat you on your general external look. If I leave work and go shopping, I get treated like a real person.... Sometimes on a weekend, I go shopping in just jeans, trainers etc, I don't get any attention when I walk in a store. People are generally too quick to judge based on how you're dressed.

Everyone here knows I am very very organised....my kitchen cupboards have all the labels facing out, same in the fridge. Crockery are organised in the way I take use them....stack of side plates, then stack bowls, then stack of dinner plates etc. My wardrobe is organised by type then color as is my shoes and handbags. My desk is organised based on type of project and research area..... ;o) HEH...makes my life easy. :lol:

I also have an inventory of everything in my flat as I had rented it out furnished when I travelled last year.

I doh cook, I doh have dinner guests over so that one glass and a spoon or my cereal bowl go be there. :?

lmao... no Everyday I wake up Blessedly so, but I dress according to my mood, what I have that doh need ironing (another aspect of me being disorganised) and what I like and even sometimes because I colour coordinate what I wash I tend to wear all black that week so that when is laundry day for me I can dump all meh black clothes een de machine and not have like one pink top and 5 orange pants in de basket. Anyways, so because one day I might where a long dress, the next I am in my cut off denim skirt which my friend calls my belt... :D and leggings and my boots to work then the next day like today...I am in my black skirt suit with black inner slip and lined in tiny white dots and my fake pearl earrings, chain and bracelet and black High heeled lace peep toe shoes. I am a DIVA but I am flexible and I always do me. I doh believe in rushing down what people wearing cause what might look good on one eh go look good on some or me. So people does cyah handle the fact that I doh conform to their sense of conservative dressing and when I do dress conservatively is like a holiday for them.

I came home to Trinidad one year and went to look at clothes in CArnaby Street store and lo and behold the stuff she selling I does get on sale here for all kinda 3 quid 5 quid or a tenner. She realllllllllllllllllllllll robbing Trinis cause she buying wholesale at a quid. Sigh!

Imagewise, I hate looking like other people. I hate when I look at TriniScene dot com and the women all dressed in the same clothes but different colours. Oh Lord no. Playing with numbers is definitely NOT fun. I remember "helping" a friend do his VAT spreadsheet using the formula and whatnot and I have no idea what happened. Sure I started with VAT being 15% and it ended with it being 14.98% :lol: I have no idea where the 0.02% went I am so awful with numbers. Hey, I'm not an accountant (a math teacher yes ;) ) but I do the spreadsheet thingy with my income and expenditure, I even have line graphs showing my cumulative profit over the years and a chart with $ spent on gas yearly. I like to budget myself, ummm, it kinda hard though when I'm being tempted by pretty clothes, shoes, jewellery and food! :)

Dresswise, I don't like suits. I wear soft pants mostly or skirts with shirts or dressy tops. We're not allowed to wear jeans except on field trips/carnival/clean up days/sports etc. And yeah, I have accesories to match almost everything, down to the colour woogie I have in my hair! :D

Where I used to work, if you didnt cuss they wouldna listen...so is there i learn to cuss.....heh...in english and spanish...But I does hardly cuss....only when necessary!

I cuss a lot while driving, cuz in dis country yuh always getting bad drive and I've been cussing a lot lately for other reasons (see frown thread)

When I started working the men told me tht I better start learning to cuss becos thts only way sometimes tht you get people to listen to you on the job. I guess I never did learn but I do get people to listen to me.

It does be funny becos when me and coworkers meet up most times I am the only female there or there is another gurl but she cuss just as them. So when talking and they cuss they does turn and apologise. :lol: does be funny with plenty apologies. But like when I around it does be a burden on some of them to try not to cuss to. :lol:

Sometimes it gets to the point where if we in a jeep heading somewhere to work and all the cussing going around I does tell them my ears does filter the cuss words and I don't hear when they using it, becos I does get fed up of the apologies sometimes. :lol:

When they around me they wud cuss less but otherwise they cuss like wind. And worse when they take a few drinks.
These men in their 40's and early 50's so they well seasoned in their cussing.
The guy who worked with me a few mths didn't cuss when alone with me but oh gosh if you hear how he used to cuss he gf when they on fone. But she does cuss to eh from few times I met her so with them is give and take with the cussing.
