Saturday night someone i knew almost fell victim to a potential robbery,
whilst going home at 2 am he was driving on the highway and as he was passingunder a flyover a brick was thrown at his windsceen, thank goodness that the idiot who threw it could not get the timing right- so it ended up landing on his bonnet and not his windscreen.

Please be aware, if while going home this happens to you- try your best to continue driving- DO NOT stop, slow down if you need to see BUT DO NOT stop!

What your friend doing out at 2 a.m., does he not realize he is on lockdown until at least October 2012?

I bet it was just after the beetham, with that curve the highway goes into, gives you plenty time to get a good angle and perception of distance to hit the bullseye.

THAT'S WHY I RETIRE TO OCALA, FLORIDA. I have a license to keep a gun. I can take a three-hour safety course and get a permit to carry a gun, but i do not need to. my gun stays in a lock box. But, if i ever feel in any way threatened i will not hesitate to get a license to carry my gun. It's nice to have this option. And trust me i know how to use it. I will not kill anybody when i am cleaning my gun,because when i am cleaning my car i turn of the engine, and when my wife is cleaning the stove she makes sure it's turned off. DANCERBOY

you can make your own pepper spray and keep it in a small spray bottle !

trust me- raw finely ground pepper sprayed into your attackeds eyes will disable them temporarily!

welll you can always keep a SMALL tin of BAYGON or DET in your car( and its NOT illegal to have it) - if sprayed directly into the mouth , eyes, face of an attacker properly- it WILL allow you enough time to escape............

Violence begets violence Ali. I hope when all yuh do all this McGyver stuff the assailant eh know where all yuh living or wukking. Revenge is a hell of a thing eh. Unless this is a random attack and you are sure that there is no alternative but to violently defend yourself, it will take some understandably big ballz to let that person rob yuh or stone yuh car and walk away. But when you walk away u live to fight another day...or week...or year. How precious is your life and that of your family that you willing to start a domino effect of violence over some inanimate objects?

We all will react differently but unless you are a trained combatant I suggest you all ge the fanciful ideas of guns and knives and petrol and stuff out of yuh minds. Pepper Spray and mace and a licensed fire arm is all good but the first two are illegal for civilians to use. So what we go do? Women need to get some self defense training instead of wining for carnival one year spend that costume money on some Tae Kwan Do or Karate classes. It increases our self esteem and discipline and we can essentially practice on all old people and slow people, irritating boy friends and assailants :mrgreen:

a good self defense course for both men and women is something called Cragmagra (i'm 100% sure the spelling is way off).....it doesn't really teach you to fight but to get out of situations example if you being attacked with a knife, get out of a headlock, get out of a bearhug, if someone holds you by your shirt collar .........that kinda thing :|
