Does anyone know where I can get RED and BLUE food coloring in GEL? I see only the ones in liquid and powder but the red turns pink and the blue turns light blue. I know the one in gel maintains its real color. Help anyone?
Chicabonita: the colour changes due to pH, i.e acidity or alkalinity. You can get the colour you want within a pH range by adding a touch of acid from lime juice, or touch of alkali from baking soda, depends on the taste but doubt if its near pH 6 its ok, less than that it will taste like vinegar. What gel is it? is it a fruit gel like strawberry? means that is acidic already, could mean you need a touch of lime to it?

Thanks guys.
Tipp, I will make the "experiment" this morning and see if it works. I don't have the gel one (that's what I am looking for). I have both powder and liquid.
