What? Falling asleep during sex? That imaginary guy is not doing a good job. You need to find a real one.

that used to happen to me...there are lots of simple things u can do to help...

mainly, dont do anythin b4 bed that would cause u to have to wake up in the night...like dont drink a tall glass of water jus b4 bed..cuz sumtimes, the prob is that i cant go BACK to sleep when i get up...

relax b4 bed...dont go to bed stressed...that doh help...sort out things that have ur mind racing cuz this only keeps ur mind active as opposed to relaxing...

also, make sleep a routine thing...same time every night (at least til u get things back on track)

etc etc etc

i hear the sex works too but i dunno :P

Gravol is a motion sickness tablet how dat helping him?

Scorps u need routine and relaxing atmosphere and to solve whatever it is that is on your mind subconsciously. If it is the loneliness then start embracing it and enjoying your own company and stop relying on the company of others.

When my bf not home with me I does be restless but is not cause I lonely is cause he have me accustomed to wrapping up with him and he forces me to go to bed at a reasonable time with bribes and threats.... but u hun need to work through that which ails u and then maybe, just maybe u will sleep babe.

you need to, like some of the others said...relax and not do anything too stressful before bedtime...

Have a specific time each night to go to bed....try not to go later or earlier....

Try working out during the day....

listen to soothing music or read a book....

if all else fails...visit a doctor for some pills....s/he shld be able to prescribe a course which shld be a gradual start and withdrawal....esp since most ppl become dependent of most of these pills .... ;)

Oh and sex can't hurt either.... ;)

Scorpio,

Sleep is essential for good health.

On average, a person should be getting 7-8 hours of proper sleep every night. Proper sleep being sleep that is uninterrupted and produces Delta and REM sleep stages. These stages are important for the body’s systems to be repaired as this is when growth hormone levels increase.

You stated that you have been getting a maximum of two hours of sleep per night. That is not enough. Such low levels of sleep would result in increased levels of cortisol, which is not good. The fact that you are still functioning does not mean that it is not a problem. You should not wait until you see gross manifestations of a problem. It is an insidious problem that should be corrected sooner rather than later.

You mentioned that this has happened before. Are there any similarities?
Are you taking any drugs, legal or otherwise, that might be affecting your sleep cycle? Be aware that alcohol consumption can affect proper sleep cycles. Ditto for caffeine.
What time do you go to bed?
Do you have a set routine for going to bed?
How is your diet?
Do you exercise.
Have there been any physical, mental or emotional changes?
Yuh have ah tabanca?

The body has a natural rhythm on which it operates and your body’s rhythm has been changed. You need to identify the cause of the change and take the necessary action to rectify the problem.

Sleep well, Scorpio.

It's hard to crash when you're already at rock bottom :D

seriously, though, I don't know how I am still functioning, I fell asleep last night at around midnight and was up at just before 2 am. IMy theroy is that my body gets enough rest bec I just lay there in bed even though I'm not sleeping.

Good post, mailman. You questions all seem pertinient. I should start by saying i most deinitely don't have tabanka.

As for diet I am a vegetarian, I drink coffee to stay alert during the day, I don't drink coffee before going to be. I don't have a set routine, exercise by playing squash, no physical changes, I'm still the same skinny 120 pounds I've always been, mentally, I've been a little drained lately, ditto emotionally.

I don't think my body has any set dicernaible rhythm.

Still, I am functioning...

SCORPIO, I too had a problem sleeping moons ago. A friend suggested i practice yoga. I did, and never had a problem. As a matter of fact, i could be in a fete and i could go in a corner, get twenty minutes sleep. Doh mind dem who tell you to have sex to sleep. Dat is ah "short" term solution. It might put you sleep for a few nights, but it could eventually give you plenty sleepless nights. U ketch ma drift. But ,SEX FOR SLEEPING IS NOT A HARD AND FAST RULE. DANCERBOY
