Is TT interested in Science & Technology ideas?

I am a senior staff R&D sceintist, holder of many patents but when I write letters to the TT press with good ideas, The press do not publish these and on TTONLINE.ORG, not many people are interested. They are more interested in ole talk, corruption and politics and the future of the country which should take in Science & Technology. So where do we stand? talking crap about politics all day does not help foster ideas for advancement.Why wouldnt the Guardian or Express or Newsday publish scientific letters? yet they dont have a facility to share scientific ideas for the country.? just look at my contribution on sugar to high octane fuels- 2 feedbacks, on low energy desal units- 4 feebacks,TT does not have a science forum? Discuss?

Allyuh Scientists too stratospheric in allyuh conversations, formulae, and writing in scientific lingo fuh we dotish people to understand. If allyuh used to talk so we cud understand de difference between ah Black Hole and ah electrical perturbation, maybe we'd be able to contribute something, even in we small dotish way. And since you iz ah Senior Staff R&D Scientist, maybe yuh cud influnce yuh subordinates to talk in plain english fuh we nah.

You write letters to the press: maybe you should write articles instead of sending letters- you may be aiming for the wrong section in the papers. Letters to the editor are reserved for the ole talk crew.
Breds, TTONLINE is but a 100 souls, just looking for a good ole time. Because your ideas dont fly here, dont blame the membership. There are science threads that have momentum, biotech threads and engineering threads get participation.

Is it possible you could list your many patents so we could check it out to see how they may influence changes in the world.

That's it Falcon, I write to the editors of the news papers offering science articles, but not a reply, I even got a contact in Guardian and a link to the Editor, not even an acknowledgement, see its a sign of the malaise. But I only put this leader post in because someone here 2days ago said that they wished the govt was reading these ideas on the forum, then I put up my question. As per the patents, some are being used now, two have made near 1.5 MM USD in selling the services, if I put my patents up I identify myself, you dont want that, 1 other is in negotiation with a major oil company that passed feasibility studies, You know these patents costs 15000 USD each to approve and service, and before even actually embarking on the project, we identify its need and applications. One will even be used in Trinidad soon, for a special problem and it has been delivered, so there! These are not patent for patent sakes, 2 USA companies are negotiating the rights to licence two patents. These are the ideas I talk about that TT dont seem to care about fundamental R&D even to gain experience or grab the R&D opportunities going on for pilot JV studies.I agree this forum is jokey but may not lead to educating the govt and the people of TT. Falcon, I tried what you said. does not work, How else can you get my country to benefit from the ideas of experienced Trinidadians, as someone on this forum had asked. Its difficult.

See the moderator dumped the general subject into Science and Technology and only few people read these posts and only few comment on science posts. It needed to be in politics: as its a political issue, its not a science issue, its a cultural issue also, its not a science topic, there are no science data in this? so are we sweeping it under the carpet? and people like the interractions in politics. Political leaders do not want to listen to experienced well highly educated Trinis but listen to Canadians and USA consultants.

Let me clarify exactly what I meant so that there is no confusion. I do not own nor have the patents on the ideas and devices I created for that company. Since I worked for them, I had to sign a waiver that anything I developed belonged to the company, not me. That was/is standard practice I believe for most companies - at least here in the U.S.

I don't want to misrepresent myself or state anything that may be misconstrued by anyone that I am some type of big shot scientist. I am not!
