Froggy is a young dog who was rescued from Mucurapo Road with a chop wound on his leg. He also is missing a patch of fur on one shoulder where it appears he had hot water or oil flung on him. Despite this ill-treatment he is a sweet dog, as you can see from the picture. He is now staying at the North-West Clinic on Mucurapo Road (St. James).

Calico the kitten is cute and playful. She is at Vinmer Veterinary Clinic (Woodbrook).

Chance has been with AWN for a while, he is a nice looking dog and there does not seem to be any particular reason why he has not been offered a home before this. He is now at the TSPCA (POS).

Popeye is a magnificent dog. He is a cross between a black Labrador and a Rottweiler, with his appearance leaning towards the Labrador. He is a sweet and gentle dog, who gets on well with other dogs and shows respectful interest in cats. He is not particularly fond of walking on a lead but could be trained to do so properly, as he is bright. He is a one-dog total -body exercise plan. He is at Vinmer Veterinary Clinic.

Rico is a black cocker-spaniel (mostly). He does not get on with children and would be best adopted by a single person. He is at the North West Clinic on Mucurapo Road.

Two sweet kittens who did not seem to enjoy the photo-call very much. They are at the North West Clinic on Mucurapo Road.

These beautiful black cats are staying at North-West Veterinary . As blacks cats are counted to be lucky in some places, please help to make these black cats lucky too.

Pippa was brought in a few weekends ago from Federation Park, where she had been hanging out near Antigua Road for about three weeks. Several people in the area had been feeding her generously so she arrived in good condition. She was a bit nervous of other dogs. However, she proved to be very good with children (of those who fed her) and knows how to walk on a lead properly. She is now staying at Vinmer Veterinary Clinic.

Cookie is a striped tabby cat who is staying at Vinmer Veterinary Clinic. She gets on well with the other cats there and with the dogs. Huge personality.

 Syl I just realised thanks to another forumite...that my post above sounded insincere.

It was not eh...sometimes the true meaning of the post is lost due to the bluntness or briefness of the post.

The images are sad and so is the situation I meant. Hope this clarifies things just in case u thought I was being mean. :(

Wow syl..if i had known about some of these animals i would have considered taking them in...
but i already have my hands full with my dogs...which also go to north west vet...they are pretty good

good info tho..always thought it was a bunch of pothounds in these places...but some pretty nice mixes and pedigree with seemingly good disposition...

cool sheppy.
but feel free to tell other people about these animals.
it would be fantastic if all these animals can be rehabilitated into loving homes.
