Miami is getting blown the f out.
Celtics making this look easy.
You think Cavs will flatter to deceive again this year after winning the league but not coming out of the East?
Or they going all the way?

Is Kobe and the Lakers again.
Mavericks had their usually melt down last night on their home court. Games 3 and 4 will be in San Antonio. Mavericks has the best road record in the NBA this season, so it is possible that they can steal back home court advantage.

The Lakers Dynasty will prevail............AGAIN.
However I will like to see Orlando Magic win the Championship.
Chicago is putting up a fight against Cle tonight.
Bulls pull back one to make the series 2-1 with important scoring from Rose, Hinrich and Deng
And the other 8th seed in the West, Thunder, did the same to Lakers to make it 2-1 as well
Heat are down 3-0 against Boston. Tomorrow may be the decider!
Going to make time for the Thunder/Laker game later today. That Oklahoma crowd is intense.
Magic, Hawks and Celtics should sweep the 1st round in the East.
The West is definitely more competitive.

Thunder blew away Lakers - are they just pretending or can they seriously compete?
miami/boston game 4 starts in about 20 minutes. Could Wade and his men be the first eliminated in the 2010 playoffs? Watch to find out.

The celtics "gone through"............Orlando Magic in the Championship Game.
4-0. Orlando advances.
Charlotte is officially the first team eliminated in the 2010 NBA playoffs.
Stick a fork in the Mavericks! They are done.
My money is on the Celtics to win it all.

Six 4......................Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic..............now is their time.
Six 4......................Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic..............now is their time.
The fans in Orlando have been saying now is their time from ever since Shaq and Penny Hardaway days. Same song and dance, nothing has changed. Dwight Howard is a great shot blocker, rebounder and he can jump through the roof. But his offensive game is very limited on the inside when confronted with an effective double team. The Lakers showed him up last year in the finals. I haven't seen much improvement in his game, and that my friend is going to be Orlando's achilles heel, as you will see now as they move further into the playoffs.
Another day, another group of eliminations.
Out:
Chicago Bulls
Miami Heat
Charlottle Bobcat
----
Cleveland vs Boston
confirmed for round 2
Orlando looks like they will get a full weeks' rest on the winner of Bucks/Hawks as that series looks set to go the distance.
Wayne

The Lakers will prevail again..............Look how they "spanked" those young boys of the OK Thunder ..........last night.......
However they cannot do that to my Orlando Magic...........this year is "we time".
Fear the Deer
Bucks lead 3-2 after a nail biter game 5
All 4 undecided series in the West and the 1 remaining in the East are 3-2
San Antonio advances. They will play the winner of Suns/Blazers (PHX lead 3-2, game 6 begins now).
And Suns make their date with Spurs
Cleveland vs Boston
Game 1 set for tip off now, live from Cleveland
LeBron James overwhelmingly voted MVP for the 2009/2010 NBA regular series.
Two very exciting basketball games coming up tonight. Cavs/Celtics followed by Spurs/Suns in Round 2 action.
Boston make it 1-1 and taking it back to Massachusetts

magic/Hawks
Suns put Spurs in a 2-0 hole
Wow, LeBron with a just utterly jaw dropping performance tonight. 38 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists. Amazing, amazing stuff to see him when he has a good night. Cleveland lead 2-1 over the Boston.
Spurs/Suns currently 3-0 in favor of Phoenix. Surprise 26 point run by Dragic.
Tomorrow's (Saturday) games: ORL/ATL and LAL/JAZ in game 3 affairs.
Shame and disgrace in Atlanta. Game 3 loss by 30 points, at home.
Game 1 was lost by 43 points.
Game 2 by 14 points.
It shall be a massacre in Orlando for game 5.
Blow out.
Phoenix going for the close out in San Antonio
Steve Nash is awesome.

98-84 win by the Orlando Magic.
This will go down as the most lobsided NBA playoff series in history.
Orlando can put their legs up and rest for a week while they wait on Cavs and Keltics to rumble it out
And guyguy's Laker team roll over Utah the same way

Rajon Rondo, Celtics.
Derek Fisher, Lakers.
Rondo is much better than Fisher and playing great in the playoffs
Ray Allen, Celtics.
Kobe Bryant, Lakers.
Allen can make some big shots down the road and at critical moments but unfortunately he is no Kobe who is well fed with Guy dhal and white rice
Kendrick Perkins, Celtics.
Andrew Bynum, Lakers.
If Perkins can stay out of foul trouble then Bynum cant block him out but perkins wants to see what boneless saltfish look like
I tell him to ask Manning
Kevin Garnett, Celtics.
Pau Gasol, Lakers.
Young blood will prevail I love Gasol game , its been a long season for my boy Garnet them legs creaky like Six 4
Paul Pierce, Celtics.
Ron Artest, Lakers.
Lord look fight between Maccogirl and Snowbird nah
If Pierce can stay focus for 48 minutes and do his thing then he will have a great series
Which Artest is coming out to play?
Rasheed Wallace, Celtic
Lamar Odom, Lakers.
When you have Mr and Mrs Rags playing against other you cant bet on none now I understand why Archie hate games between the Giants and Colts
Wallace his a warrior and Odom could out play Kobe on any given night
IMO the Celtic have more dept and play great defense
The Lakers have a star player who can take over a game at any moment
I still think Boston starting 5 can hang with the Lakers starting 5
The key to the series is the bench and what it brings, baby and Nate to me will be the difference in this series
Shannon needs to get out of LA as soon as possible he is to talented to be a bench warmer
Boston Sweep?????? Ok in 5
OK, so the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers rivalry continues. I say Celtics in 6!

Nice analysis Pam!
I think the X factor is this series is going to be Kevin Garnett. As he goes, so does the Boston Celtics. If Celtics win any of the two games in Los Angeles, it is pretty much over.
Look for Garnett to be the MVP of the finals!

Six4 them legs I worry about, thats why I feel the role players will be a big factor
Lets face it , after 7 months of brutal Schedules and traveling to a different city every other week or so these guys are on their last legs, lots of mileage on those veterans who are averaging almost 12-14 yrs in the league
I like what doc is doing in bringing in his bench guys , Nate was outstanding in the last game

Kevin Garnett is 34 years old!!!! lol
You make it sound like he is a geriatric by NBA standards. He will be fine. Kobe is not much younger that he is.
Look out for Garnett to score 12 to 18 points per game and average about nine boards per. That should be enough to put Celtics over the top.

Poor game by KG as Boston got dominated by Artest in defense as Lakers strolled to an easy 1-0 series lead at home.
Garnett looked like he two knee gone through - that man miss from point blank range under the rim with no contest and mistimed jumps on defensive rebounds.
Quick stat:
When Phil Jackson's team wins game 1 of the NBA finals the team has always gone on to be champions.
Yellow seems to be the winning colour this year.

um..er..Wayne.....yuh kno that it have at least three more games to be played right? LA has set the tone, and things so far are going according to script because they have the home court advantage. Let's see what happens in Game 2.

Six 4...................in game 2 on Sunday...............de Lakers at home
With the 2-3-2 format of the finals, the 1st two games are really important. The away team needs to split those 1st two games. The home team is always under pressure to win the 1st two games with that format however LA seemed to be playing with consummate ease.

Even if Boston goes down 0-2 in this series, we will have to wait and see what Game 3 is like. This Boston team is a verteran team, unlike the Magic who the Lakers faced last year.
I still say Boston 6!
Ray Allen and Rondo played well to get the split in LA.
1-1
The series shifts to Boston tied up at 1-1. It is incumbent upon the Celtics that they win at least two out of the three games scheduled to be played in Boston. They don’t want to head back to LA down 2-3.
Look out for Paul Pierce to have an impact on this leg of the series. He has been relatively quiet in the first two games. Kevin Garnett also has to show up to the dance. Foul trouble has kept him a spectator for most of the series thus far.
The key to winning the pivotal Game 3 is to contain the Lakers supporting cast. Allow Kobe Bryant to get his 30 to 35 points, but contain the Gasols, the Fishers and Odums and the Celtics will cruise to victory.
Celtics in 6!
Garnett finally showed up but Fisher disrupted the tea party
LA leads 2-1
Wayne
06-09-2010, 12:33 AM
Kobe Bryant,Pau Gasol and Derek Fisher...............dem players have plenty heart............Dey showed ah lot ah heart in Game 3.
Game 4 starts in a few. The pressure is now on the Celtics. They lose this one and they can mail it in. Key players need to stay out of foul trouble, and Ray Allen should break out of the Game 3 slump.
Celtics in 6!
It was Baby and the bench tonight
2-2
It is now a best out of three series now. The winner of Game 5 will have the advantage in that pivotal game. Look out for Boston to take the advantage on their home court. They really don't want to go back to LA to have to win two games.
Boston in 6!

Well, the Lakers in rell trouble now.
NBA Championship Finals is ah good break from World Cup matches...........Basketball have too many "Free Throw" points.............LOL
NBA a break from WC matches??? Are you serious Wayne??
WC comes around once every four years and last for one month of competition. NBA is every year and the season is 9 months long. If it's anything the WC should be treated as a novelty.
The Lakers now have their backs against the wall. This is the first time in the playoffs that they are facing an elimination game. It will be interesting to see how the Lakers as a whole respond to this type of adversity. They will be playing in the friendly environment of the Staples Center, so that will be in their favor. Their plan would be to win Game 6 and let the chips fall where they may for Game 7. I know that ABC/ESPN network would love a Game 7 situation.
Boston on the other hand will prefer to close things out on Tuesday night. Too many bad things can go wrong with a Game 7 especially when you don't have the home court advantage. Look out for Boston's Big 4 to come out and make their presense felt in Game 6. It would be difficult, very difficult to beat the Lakers three straight games, but everyone folds under pressure at some point.
Boston in 6!

40-34 at the half.
Got to say, this has been a pretty scrappy game so far. Kobe isn't getting any good shots off. Ray Allen is not scoring, at all. The only standout offensive guy is Ron Artest, which is amazing.
Exciting though! :woot:
