I think McClaren had enough time to show what he was made of. I agree with the decision to let him go, he's had too many chances.

Is Gerrard related to one of the members of the FA? One spineless performance after another and he is still picked. The same can be said of Fat Frank. Barry is played as a holding midfielder and then theres Hargreaves (a European Cup winning defensive midfielder) on the bench. You have Carson in goal who was bag of nerves, young boy...first cap...in a do or die game in front of 90,000 people. Tonight was a night where experience was needed, David James should have got the nod ahead of him.

Beckham did a lot more in 45 minutes than what Gerrard and Lampard managed in 12 games...

A midfield of Carrick and Hargreaves please. Carrick is a cultured midfielder who's array of passes wouldn't look out of place in La Liga or Serie A...Hargreaves has a great engine, covers a lot of ground and brilliant at breaking up attacks...
