Yup, folks have to pay 30US to see Carnival Tuesday. Triniscene is showing live streaming today but I'm not sure if folks want to see cars on the road, pedestrians liming and browsing the area, and folks using portable bathrooms.
Its funny how Trinis in Trinidad that have free access to Carnival 2010 take it for granted. Most of the folks paying money just to see the crowds palance and eat a doubles with heavy pepper are those living abroad.
Snow and enyaw, I hope you get to make it for Carnival 2k11.

By this I mean many Trinidadians take our culture for granted and this is made all the more apparent during Carnival.
Folks overseas willing to pay money to see something that is free of charge in TT.
What's that saying....you don't know what yuh have until its gone...or in this case not as easily accessible. This has nothing to do with those Trinis who decide to lay low for the Carnival season. It is their perogative. I solely speak of those who show no appreciation.

By minimizing the complaint of this or that, year after year after year, especially if Carnival festivities does not directly affect your peace and quiet or inconvenience you.

Aye Falcs, you see that is where you and I differ.
I grew up in Belmont (in the 50's), and at that time Belmont was the 'hub' of Carnival; the Belmont Park on Norfolk Street had one of the three 'stages' for band competition....the other was the Savannah, and 'Marine/Independence Square.
We had three steel bands out of that very small area.....'Dem Boys' steel band pan yard was right next door to my grandmother’s house. near the Circular Road (people would visit her, just to hear them play).
We had Sun Land around the corner from where we lived, just off Erthig Road; we had Dixi Land just down the road in Robinson Ville..... all of this pan music (or noise as some would call it) all during Carnival season; come Carnival Sunday night, all of these bands would roll their pans out onto the road in readiness for J'Ouvert morning (ooops, the big pans that was, they still carried the little ones around their necks).... we would go to sleep on Carnival Sunday night with those pans ringing in our ears.
Falcs, when we eventually moved from Belmont, we missed that 'excitement' on Carnival Sunday so much....we would go stay at my grandmother's house over Carnival (from Sunday to Ash Wednesday) just so we didn't miss any of it. Boy, we certainly knew when it was Ash Wednesday.....all of a sudden, Belmont was 'quiet'.
Boy, those are the memories I carry with me to this day, and why I miss Carnival so.

MANY. From NOISE, people drunk in the streets to the horrible smell of urine. Disgusting.
Even if people do not have complains about carnival and they simply do NOT like it, it is their CHOICE and TASTE, why should everyone appreciate a bunch of folks half naked, performing simulated sex in the middle of the street and "dancing" to music with disgusting lyrics that portrait the mentality of some folks.
Nah, sorry. I pass.
