I came across this article and I am really ticked off!
It was in the Guradian. It Captioned as follows: " Only rich get education in T&T "

I followed the story to its source which is some "rinky dink" High Scool Newspaper in some " never care to hear about" place in wisconsin...who really
cares to know or hear about Oskosh wisconsin or some High Scool out in that place?
I wrote the following to their Newspaper:

So when Emily Hopkins came to this country and got herself embedded with some folks who are in opposition to the Government and in search of "funds" for whatever reason and sought to embarrass the Government and the people of Trinidad and Tobago a Sovereign nation where education is compulsory from age five to sixteen and where by sixteen kids are ready for University or Trade Schools where they Graduate as Licensed Plumbers,Welders,Sartorial artist ,mechanics, Construction specialist and so much more your kids are still in high school and where as by 12 kids here have already mastered calculus and Geometry whereas spelling and grammar is an Elementary school (not a high school subject for by high school we all can spell and read hence we do not have spelling bees!) your kids are doing spilling and grammar even in college?
Emily Hopkins is a fraudulent person who tells lies which can easily be proven to be lies by a few "googles!"Quite frankly, we really do not give a tinker’s blow because where the heck is Oshkosh? Who cares?
Why am I writing? Hopefully one of you may chose to do a few minutes research on google and advise Ms.Emily Hopkins not to become a journalist nor go into any profession which calls for integrity and honesty because she shall not last very long in today's internet and Google world and while you are it check out the numerous Lawsuits the Government of Trinidad and Tobago had to file in US courts against Us Companies who were stealing our Nurses and Teachers away and also against Canada and the UK until finally a diplomatic solution was reached ...strange for a country as Ms.Emily Hopkins described!
Of course you folks will not know of the very successful summit of the Americas held here in April with your President and your secretary of state in attendance and the warm and sweet welcome they had and where Hugo Chavez and your President embraced because ( according to Ms.Emily Hopkins) our Illiterate people and our Prime Minister brought it about!
Well, she may do well not to return here and allow folks to know who she is because they will challenge her to show us any person who cannot read and write better than she could and that means anyone five years younger than her or eight years younger than her! She shall be embarrassed and so should all of you!
Investigate that and find the facts as an honest Journalist and a person of integrity shall.
I am done here you do as it seem righteous in your eyes!
