He said he would bring legislation before the election to force Monteil to “re-transfer” the shares he purchased in Home Mortgage Bank; at the same price he bought the shares.
Where is the legislation?
Manning also announced that Government was going to bring legislation to the Parliament to “correct” the damage done, and to force Monteil to “re-transfer” the shares he purchased in Home Mortgage Bank, at the same price he bought the shares.
This legislation would require a special majority and the PM said he hoped that the Opposition would support it. “We will bring it before the election,” he said, responding to a call from across- the-floor comments.

An important question is Will the media allow Manning to get away with this lie?
I have seen the pressure that the media can apply to lying politicians and politicians who appear to be guilty of misdeeds, they make them squirm and cringe and force them to confess and/or resign. This is rare in TnT.
I wonder why?
Manning misled the parliament into passing two pieces of legislation to facilitate the purchase of the shares by Monteil, who for those who came in late is the mighty treasurer of the PNM.
I believe it was $110 million dollars worth of shares.
Which political party in which part of the world will hav the bold face to go into an election without answering for actiopns like this. Blisfully campaigning as if it is business as usual.
Where is the Guardian of democracy? come on Guardian, Manning should be made to face the music evry single time he appears in public and in the full glare of the TV camera lights.

The media got over 300 million dollars in ads from the pnm over the past 5 years so the media wouldn’t attack the pnm, instead they will attack the UNC-A and say if they don’t select a leader tonight the UNCA will mash up

Trinbagonians, by and large,
1. Have a short memory
2. Do not possess critical thinking skills
3. Are gullible
4. Like a bacchanal
5. Are more likely to rationalize than to reason
Thus "we like it so" and will not hold our government or PM accountable!
