On every political opinion poll, there is a column for "undecided" and the percentage looks high. So this is a thread for the undecided, what allyuh think, what will make you decide, what is keeping you from committing ????

Nah, it have some people who does decide only when they in de booth.
That favors both the PNM and the UNC.
More reasons for the COP not to let up from now until the poll closes .
At the same time the COP should not appear arrogant , but must be seen as aggressive and organised .
They need to have a back plan for everything. They need as much trusted foot soldiers they could get to ensure that COP supporters get to the polls and try and convince the undecided to take their chances with the COP .

I gather that people are waiting to see if COP and UNC unite and on what terms they do so.

What about learning about the candidates?

AS A BROAD EXAMPLE, say you had three candidates, someone like Larry Achong on one side, against someone like Wendy Fitzwilliam, against someone you know nothing about.

Wouldn't you have to say well, regardless of party, one candidate seems more interested in/respectful of my community, or intelligent, so I have to plump for them when all is said and done?

Or is it like, some people think "I won't vote for the PNM/UNC/COP even if they bring the best candidate in the world forward" kind of thing?

Machiavelli captured why we resist change in his famous quote:
“There is nothing more difficult to carry out, nor more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to handle, than to initiate a new order of things. For the reformer has enemies in all who profit by the old order, and only lukewarm defenders in all who profit by the new order. This lukewarmness arises partly from fear of their adversaries, who have law in their favor, and partly from the incredulity of mankind, who do not believe in anything new until they have had an actual experience of it.”
This is why people resist change - it is better to deal with the devil you know, rather than the devil you don't!
