we controlled the game for the first 15 minutes .. then fell apart .. scoring chances like peas but no goals ... something very wrong ... Jloyd Samuel was impressive ..

- the team lacked fight and the bottle to compete.
- they lacked mental strength.
- Ince? :shock: :? What go 'appen to him tonight?
- I think because of Ince, the defence was woeful. A strong keeper makes a defence confident.
- they did play well in the last ten minutes or so before half-time. and i guess a goal at that time would have been a psychological boost.

the major reason for this loss, to me, is the bottle. Honduras had more confidence and will to press forward. the team needs leaders, but boys and babies.

TnT teams unpredictable like that. Lack consistency in their performance. When they hit their sweet spot once, they dont know how to hit it again or repeat a good performance and thats the difference between professionals and those who are not on par with the big wigs. And clearly they are NOT on par. They bend under pressure, forget all what they have been taught during training and starts playing foolish cocoafootball. With tonights loss their realistic chances of making it went out the the window with it. They may still have a mathematical probability of making it but as I said about their chances of winning tonights game, its not likely if not impossible for a team as such.
They should play the remaining games to give the younger players experience now; because they are not making it. We look forward to the 2014 world cup with better expectations for we have time to groom a young better team.

the first 14-15 minutes we were all over in Honduras half ... yes were in a hostile stadium .. and putting the ball constantly in Honduras half .. after that it was like a different game .. we never got any passes together after that .... our midfielder did nothing ... Honduras had space like mad ... we had no wings at all .. if we had used the flank and get balls to KJ .. he would have scored .. but again .. he plays a different game in the EPL ... he is a target man there .. he looked mediocre tonight and has every time he plays for us .. here we had wingers playing like centre forwards crowding the middle .. why is Colin Samuel not playing for us .. he is a dedicated winger .. and he scored against CR .. and since then never was picked .. Ince had a bad game .. he was shot blocking .. and they put Carlos in a right back defensive position and he looked out of the game all night ..

Trinidad 1.........the next match is 9 Sept at home vs USA (last vs USA 3-0)........then in
October vs Costa Rica (away) and last game vs Mexico in Trinidad.......if the next 3 games are
to be facsimiles of the Honduran defeat.....then the Soca Warriors may end up as the CONCACAF
bobolee.........I thought I heard someone on this Forum say that Carlos Pavon was not playing
well......and he scores 2 of the 4 goals?

Points Standings:

1. HON 13 (GD +7)
2. USA 13 (GD +4)
3. MEX 12 (GD +2)
4. C.R 12 (GD -2)
5. ELS 05 (GD -3)
6. T&T 05 (GD -7)

There are 3 more games to play. TT can get a maximum of 14 points so Mathematically they can qualify if they win their last 3 games and 2 (or 3) other teams fail to get at least 15 points (or 14 with a worse goal difference).

Based on the -7 goal difference and the games that the other teams have to play against each other, it is realistically impossible.

The U20 world cup starts in 2 weeks in Egypt. We should groom those players for the 2014 campaign. And as for the remaining 3 qualifiers, its time to cut those 30+ year players and blood some new ones.

I am a citizen and a die hard fan of tnt football. As a fan I don't care much about results, just to see my team up there playing the best in the region gives me pride, JA not here, we are, and these countries are huge compared to ours with alot more options on the pitch.

Whatever happens I am proud of my country and our football team.
