No. It was bec the PNM appealed to the most ppl that we have PNM for the next 5 years. If either of the other parties could have done that, they would have won the elections. Moving along...

PNM did not appeal to most of the voters .. 47% of them didn't vote and the other 53% were split between the 3 parties. What needs to be taken note of is this, the true winner here even though they did not get a damn seat is the COP as both the UNC and the PNM lost a lot a lot of voters in this election. This is reflected by the total number of votes the both parties got.

Listen, there are many COP supporters are damn vex and embarressed this morning.
The media, COP organizers, Dookeran etc all claimed there were going to win 24 seats. You should have seen the disappointment on COP supporters faces last night when the results started coming in.
They feel like a fool now as I would if I were in that position. This excuse about people not being ready to the 'new politcics' is a cop-out.
Don't blame Panday and them for this. COP supporters and members were too damn arrogant this last month claiming that they don't need UNC to win. Many of them insulted their UNC brothers and sisters saying that UNC is the party for uneducated, poor, ignorant, Panday loving masses etc. They said, they didn't want any alliance or accomadation etc.
Now look at this, they have fallen flat on their faces without even their holier than thou leader, losing his seat.
