too many basic flaws in his proposal. Chickens didnt come from dinosaurs yesterday.
If he can't switch a modern day bird to a modern day reptile then what fanciful nancy story Yahoo runnin wid here?

Nowhere in that article did I read an attempt to actually make a dinosaur. All they're trying to do is produce dinosaur traits. The premise is a shared lineage. If birds truly share the same lineage as dinosaurs then there is a possibility (maybe a really slim one too) of de-evolving a step or two. Recreating the traits would be convincing evidence for the link between birds and dinosaurs. Hopefully it would put to rest the annoying Creationism vs Evolution arguments.

I agree though that the Yahoo headline is an outrageous claim.

i dont think that argument will ever end, at least not in our lifetimes.

but we don't need proof to confirm THE TRUTH i.e. the earth is 5000 years old, Darwin was delivering the devil's propaganda, and dinosaurs didn't really exist - it was satan who buried all those dinosaur bones to deceive us! :shock:
