DOES ANY1 KNOW HOW TO MAKE...

Well, the snow cone man doh pass by we again, at least not when i'm home. I've been contemplating upon buying an ice shaver to make snowball. (Especially on those extra hot days). I realise it would be useless without the syrup, so if any1 knows how to make snow-cone syrup, the red kind preferably, i would greatly appreciate if you can post instructions.

They does boil the mixture I think.

omg...i remember boiling sugar and water to make caramel..
no one tell me it will be so hot fro so long :( after a lil bit i touched it by mistake and OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cry:

Snow Cone Syrup

Start with "simple syrup"
1 c. water
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick cinnamon
3 cloves
1/4 nutmeg grated
2 drops red food colouring
1tsp ginger (optional)

Put everything in a pot and boil until it thickens approx 15 mins......BUT NOT VERY THICK or it will harden.
Then strain and bottle.

I could swear we used to get guava snow cones from a snow cone vendor when I was a teen. She had yellow/brown colour for that syrup. There was the usual red as well but I like the guava flavoured one.
