View Full Version : Ramesh vs Annand

For those who arent aware of the geniology of these rather amusing events, they are as follows:
Someone called in to a radio programme claiming to be Annand Ramlogan's brother, and said that when he was 11 his parents cought Annand in a compromising position with a goat.
Later at a public rally some UNC supporters dressed up a goat in a COP tee shirt.
Annand responded by saying that the only sexual experiment he had at age 11 was with a donkey who as a result got a twisted jaw and is now on a UNC platform
While I don't prescribe to mud slinging, especially between opposition candidates, I found it too hard to resist the following Kaiso dedication to Annand Ramlogan
Written by The Mighty Zandolie - Zandolie's Whip
"So he bring ah Jeanie donkey for me
An he tell meh work it out let he see
Ah tell him look here Ignatius
Yuh too blasted advantageous
Dem animal ah call
Ah didn’t mention donkey at all
Ah used to ride goat, dog, mule,
Doh do me dat nah boss
Lord if ah tackle donkey ah loss"
Best Regards

Same question for him as Sharon Gopaul Mc Nichols on the other thread. Why now? So many people could have suffered as a result of the info you now choose to disclose. On power102 he went on to slaughter Panday and Ramesh yesterday, the night before, on WinTV, he vowed to take Ramesh to court after the elections.
All that said, he is the lesser of the two evils by miles in my opinion.
In response to that quote above, many claim to have inflicted on Ramesh the mouth he now carries. One of the most recent, yet aged ones I've come across, is a story by a gentleman who had to defend himself when his life came under great danger. Evidence of this lies in a very famous document done by a foreign body back in the 1980's.

He is the least of three evils, Mr. Manning is the greatest threat to the well being of all people living in Trinidad and Tobago, yet in that entire speach dedicated to Ramesh, Mr. Ramlogan did not mention the PNM once.
My email above was written in jest (because the words of Zandolie's Calypso so closely matched these events) not in support of one condidate or the other, I've always had the greatest amount of respect for Mr. Ramlogan, however after listening to him waste valuable time on a public platform talking about what he did to a donkey at age 11, I find it hard to maintain said respect.
"Why now" is a question that only seems inteligent when given no thought

Ramlogan realizes the fight in his area is against RLM and not against Rampartap. I admit they could dwell more on the PNM but the UNC already fingered the COP as the real enemy, not the PNM so they need to fight back.
That saying you have there I have on my office wall but voters still prefer picong and commess to the issues. Sad realization but it's true.

So should I take it from Mr. Ramlogan statement he is agreeing with what is being said about him that at age 11 he did have some kind of sexual encounter with a animal be it goat or donkey. Strange that he has chosen not to deny this ever happened with out a doubt, but rather add to it now by changing the choice of animal. Mr. Ramlogan does not seem to be a very smart young man.
He also is going all over the place speaking on the allegations of the $50,000 missing from Petrotrin again he is not denying that this did not happen his line is that Ramesh was AG and how come Ramesh did not lock him up, like Ramlogan miss the fact that Ramesh said that Sadiq Baksh and Finbar Ganga let him off the hook both UNC men at the time with the agreement that he would repay the money. UNC was the government at that time so it is possible that he was let off the hook with the agreement to repay the money to avoid embarrassment.
What would be the right approach for Mr. Ramlogan if all this is slander he should deny it completely but not add to it and leave it hanging out there in the public.

Macco ,
If alyuh so want to allege that Ramlogan had sex with a goat , please bring sworn affidavits from those who witnessed it .
But in typical UNC , all talk and no substance .
PS: I see RLM "file " on Manning's Germany mansion was ah flop .The picture looks more like a low income apartment or student's dorm .
How come alyuh staying quiet about it , if it fact?

JP in case you have not noticed I said that Mr. Ramlogan has not denied some kind of sexual encounter with a animal happened when he was 11, all he has done is changed his preference of animal, I have not accused Mr. Ramlogan of anything I am asking why has he not denied this ever happened instead he has said he did have a sexual encounter with a animal not a goat but a donkey.
So don't come and say I want to allege anything the man his self is saying he performed the act, so if someone dresses up a donkey and take it to a meeting now who the hell do you want to blame for that me??? He buy that wholesale

Stop fighting, the PNM has already won this election - any chance we have would depend on how quick we could stop fighting and come together with one unified message:
1) VOTE UNC ONLY IN:
Mayaro
Pointe-a-Pierre
San Fernando West
San Juan/Barataria
St. Joseph
Tunapuna
Tabaquite
2) VOTE COP ONLY IN:
La Brea
Point Fortin
San Fernando East
Toco/ Sangre Grande
La Horquetta/ Talparo
Walk from door to door if you have to, with a UNC Tee shirt and a COP Hat

This may be a fruitless effort since the only party UNC fighting is the COP and vice versa. Patos may be thinking that this is his most easy victory ever.. thank you Bas and company...
The PNM is the real evil and ppl don't realise it. Bas is just to dumb of an ass to recognise this and Dooks is standing up for what he believes in...not corruption like PNM or UNC..
UNC supporters shld just for a moment think about who is better for the country and stop slamming the COP.

There are 3 types of Supporters in this election
1) Racial - UNC and PNM Grassroots
2) Idealist - COP Supporters voting for ideals, issues good people, integrity etc.
3) Realist - focused on seat by seat strategies to get the PNM out, and stop the rape, murder and general deplorable standard of living in T&T
I look at the COP supporters as the more aware and mature voters who are focusing on the issues and people and not voting according to race, therefore It is our responsibility to apply that level of maturity to executing a genuine strategy aimed at getting rid of the PNM at all costs
We must ensure that the votes translate into seats for the UNC and COP
It makes no sence quaraling about things that we can't change in 4 days - let's focus on the little that we can do, and mind you that is very little at this point

Where do you want me to start....oh I know...how about Sat saying that if any of his children marry outside of their RACE (he did not say religion) he would disown them immediately. He attempted to backtrack after and say it was really "religion" he meant but we can all agree that there aren't to many Negro and Caucasian Hindus in the world.
Devant addressing a GOPIO meeting and espousing the advantages of forced sterilization for "those people" so that they would not be making so many criminals. This was in support of that UNC senator who spewed that rubbish 4 days before. The last bunch who spoke his way were Heydrich and Eichmann at the Nazi meeting in Wansee to produce the secret memoranda for the holocaust.
Well who can forget Hulsie and her Africans raping Hindu virgins diatribe. When it turned out to be two Indian fellars wearing Rasta wigs not a damned word of apology. For Chrissakes even Panday was angry with her!
Boy JP you really have been gone a long time. So before you go to make any excuses for these people and their nasty, small minded and disgusting ideas call some friends about what they have said. Especially Devant who has turned off so many people even in the COP. He was put their at Sat's urging. None of his fellow candidates even give token support to his bid. He is an embarrassment to the COP and even they realize that to allow him any national exposure is political death. That my brother I find noteworthy!

JP, if there is one seat that the COP can pull off it is Tabaquite.
Even NACTA has Anand neck and neck with Ramesh. This will be the most interesting race to watch on Monday night.
Could you imagine this scenario: Anand wins.....becomes the lone COP MP in the Lower House.....by dint of his personality gets UNCA MP's to support him and he becomes Leader of the Opposition!.......not too far fetched at all because that is almost how Panday did it in 1976.

You add too much sugar man. In an interview with Tony Fraser on the "Issues Live" on TTT he specically stated his objection to his daughter marrying a black man. He said he'd disown her.

I didn't know he said that, but here are some of his more friendly quotes:
“all Muslims are terrorists”,
“all Muslims in Pakistan and other countries should be executed even if it meant wiping out whole nations and the rest of them should then move to Saudi Arabia!”
“A de-Hinduised Indian also becomes de-Indianised and even anti-Indian over a period.”
Just imagine him being minister of anything. Vernon Delima did not even know who he was up till Sunday. Didn't know what Hulsie said either. Makes you wonder how COP screens.

Ok well the reality is looking a lot like we having another PNM government for the next 5 years. Voting the UNC in doesn't guarantee us anything better, the same can be said for the COP but we need to trust that they will do at least a little of what they promising now and form a stable government.
Can you really say this rounds we could trust Bas, Jack, RLM et al? Even a little bit? The UNC now ripe for a power struggle, in opposition it's good comedy for some, in power its disaster for the country, except for the PNMites.
I say rebuild the UNC over the next 5 years when they can have a change of leadership without Bas (hopefully we ent seeing him trying to wine on stage again at 80). Vote for a change now.

CM as I have said repeatedly the COP needs to keep at it until the next General Election.
The problem is they need at least one member in the Lower House.
If they could get in with Anand, Prakash and Winston then they will eventually usurp the UNCA in the fullness of time because it would mean that RLM would be out in the cold.

Parsifal I see where you coming from but it really have plenty variables that could come into that mix.
What you describe there could be one way if the UNC continues their self-destructive ways or if a suitable replacement for Bas doesn't step up. I have said it before also that if Kamla was appointed leader of the UNC during that meeting early on then the COP wouldn't have a choice but to unite with them. Those people fed up of Bas would go back to the UNC if they showed strong, stable leadership.
The 2012 election might be interesting. We may actually have a viable opposition with some united leadership that would remove the PNM. Of course Patos might actually give out some more handouts late in 2012 and people will forget everything again.

If the COP joins back up with the UNC it would be back to square one. They would owe too much to the likes of Sat & Friends.
Their strategy would have to be similar to what they are doing now......become as broad based as possible and grow incrementally.....like what the PNM did after 1986. The PNM of today is not the PNM of Eric Williams & George Chambers. I say that in reference to their growth in Central and South Trinidad and certainly Tobago which now seems like a fortress.
This was something that the ONR was not willing to take the time to do....everyone wants power quickly without working for it.

What about Ganga saying that Kelvin is a silent MP and he's sick in his bed, and dying in a hospital bed in Canada and can't do nething for his own self..
No no wait, wait, I forgot, it's ok for the COP but it's never ok for the UNCA.

What ganga said was wrong...but does that make it right for Kelvin to say that on a platform about a woman...? or are you just gonna defend him by saying that ganga said it first so Kelvin say something after...???

Or Anand Ramlogan and the backward ****** comment? and his vile attack on Ramesh?
Or Inshan inciting violence against a radio announcer?

Stop being a blasted hypocrite.

Where you seein an insult? You all quick to jump to "oh u insulting me" It is being hypocritical if you all want to claim new politics and then defend when the same people want act like anything but new politics on the platform. It's either one way or the other it's not both.

So anyway Parsifal...
That brings another IF into the play...lets say the PNM really mess things up this rounds and the economy takes a turn downward by 2012 and people vex. If there is a clearing out of the UNC and COP old guard then maybe people won't remember Bas, Jack and the assorted jokers following him.
Also the COP candidates that don't make it to Parliament mostly mightn't be there so it could really be viewed as a new breed and outlook. The UNC always screaming about former ONR and NAR members but that problem probably won't be there later.

Having heard Anand talk about offering himself on free service to a number of individuals, makes me wonder how widespread this freeness extends within the judiciary.
Just today Sat's grandson got off for murder Mervyn Caton in the face of overwhelming evidence against him. My bro told me this would never happen. I disagreed and chose not to follow the trial.
Hurt!

Panday - Hulsie is a pan cake face. I want you to crush Ramlogan. Gillian or Julian is ah man.
Warner - Winston, 21 days or death.
Pundit on UNC Platform - What de hell Maha Sabha wants.
Ramesh - with the goat story.
All these people are active in politics so you could say it comes with the territory. Why bring Ganga's wife into this. And to think that they were all colleagues. I happen to know Ganga's wife and Ramnath is not worthy to call her name. I notice that you have avoided Vaio's question. All the platforms spew venom, but they stick to people always on the platform. Forget what all those you quoted said, because the UNC speakers are no angels. As a woman what do you have to say about Ramnath's comment?

He ran a defence that someone pulled his strap and the gun went off. Maybe the jury accepted his story. Like you all I thought that it was an open and shut case. Perhaps the jury found his explanation credible. I am waiting to read the report tomorrow because I am curious.

I deliberately chose not to follow the case because from the start the outcome was predicted. My brother did not agree with me last week but when I explained my opinion, he did not continue..
"See what I told you?"
Sat claimed he washed his hands of the incident but it would be very naive to believe that. At the end of the day, our judicial system, like most, works on favouritism and others that go deeper than just a sunny or rainy season. It is not about money either.

Of the three parties the PNM has the most conservative of the manifestos presented in this campaign......and ironically the COP has the committed to spending the most.
Manning took a gamble to upgrade the physical infrastructure while we have the money to do so at the risk of overheating the economy. We experienced the overheating but not to the degree that could have taken place. Inflation is down to 7.3% from 10% earlier this year. Now as I say that the only way that the cost of living is going to go down we would need a period of deflation as well to offset what has happened over the last 8 years.
Our economy has become deeply intertwined with the world economy. Although we reap the rewards of high energy prices (which are subsidized locally) we have to pay world market prices for steel and fertilizers which are produced locally but not subsidized. The price of steel has nearly trebled in 4 years and chemicals have more than doubled as the price of natural gas has gone up.
Similarly, the international prices for grains (rice, wheat, corn and soya) have gone up between 150% and 300% in the last 2 years. Drought in Europe, North America and Australia coupled with the explosion in demand for higher end foods such as pork, beef and poultry in India and China because of the new affluence in their economies has meant the era of cheap food that we have enjoyed in the West for 50 years has come to an end.
Add to this the rapid and massive move of the major agricultural conglomerates in the world to sell their grain crops for the production of bio-fuels because of the high energy prices. If you are a farmer in the US right now you are planting corn now and not say cabbages because you can sell the corn for a much higher price to a bio-fuels company to make ethanol.
I put all of this here to give a matter of perspective to what is going to be one of the major challenges that small states are going to be facing.
There are going to be some hard things that we as a population are going to have to face.
I do not think that the leadership of the COP is irresponsible but nothing is as easy as they have made it out to be.
Electorally speaking the challenge of the COP will be to outlive Panday and the personality cult that he has created around himself. Panday has been successful because he has continuously engaged in the politics of disruption in the ULF, NAR and now the UNC. He has always had more internal competition to his leadership than Manning has had in the PNM. His personal charisma is eclipsed only by Eric Williams.
It is this same instability that has resulted in so many more scrambling for leadership in the opposition forces.
Let us be frank here. Dookeran will face challenges to his leadership from the likes of Gillian Lucky, Anand Ramlogan, Kamla Persad Bissessar and Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj for the next 5 years.
The COP will either supplant the UNC or be re-absorbed by it.
If it is the latter, then the COP will have failed as that ONR element will either go dormant again or be re-assimilated by the PNM. I say this because the politics of the UNC is still the same as the PDP, the DLP and the ULF which preceded it. They have not made the leap forward and will continue in the politics of parochialism for the foreseeable future.
If the COP supplants the UNC then we have a horse of a different colour....but that is easier said than done.
Oh!
Why he hadda bring people wife in thing with those kinda comments for.
They does think before they talk? He ent have wife and he talking so with he wife there?
