alive looks like something out of a science fiction nightmare, and dead looks like something out of a serenity kitchen nightmare.

Well, if dais what the recipe calls for, then who am I to argue? :D
I saw a documentary on the insect and bug eating phenomenon. I think there's even a guy in California who puts them at the centre of lollipops and chocolates. Another guy even opened a restaurant to expand the minds and culinary options of Americans. They showed some folks trying out cockroaches in a sauce. Chickens eats bugs, I eat chicken, and sooner or later bugs'll eat me, the circle of life is complete. Who am I to break the ranks?
BTW shouldnt this be in the food board? Since we talking kebabs and all...

Interesting! They make the lollipop with the taquila worms. Those I have seen. Also they bottle secadas when they can be found (every seventeen years?) and eat them. Weird!

on holiday last year, we had the chance to eat grubs....and crickets, living shrimp, and some sort of beetle looking thing...
i ate a cricket....hadda break off the head and leg tips....and it was just crunchy & spicy.
In trinidad, i was on a trek at the asa wright, and the guide told us to taste these lil red ants...taste like carrots!
