Well yuh see now dais the drama. I have a left knee injury. So I was doing leg extensions individually. Worked the right leg first, then take meh time and worked the left. I only managed one set of 30 before deciding that my knee wasnt doing well with this particular excercise. So I did squalts and curls and things after that fine. I was doing cardio the next day, finishing off with 5 mins on the bike when I felt a burn on the right leg. Right leg only. After that, right leg swell from knee to mid thigh and pain like yuh never believe.

I used to real push legs a coupla years ago so I know what leg pain feels like after a workout and this was way beyond that. But meh gym man, who HR deems well-qualified, insist things ok bec I could walk now, 3 days later. I feel a law suit coming on yes!

sounds like DOMS. delayed onset muscle soreness. normal even after 3-4 days post exercise. hope that was indeed it. :)

I have an anual visit or two. Yes I'm all soft. For exercise I prefer a sport or two like swimming, cycling and even walking more that 20 minutes. I don't feel the need to be so toned, I could do with being trimmer and firmer but I'm not into being sculpted.

There's only a handful of men in the gym at 6 in the morning, but those that were there this morning were in for a treat...or so they behaved..
There's a very pretty girl who started recently and today the gym man serious weight training with her. Meh girl start to moan and groan and gasp. Everybody stop to watch she reach orgasm.
The fellas nearly drop weights on dey head. Ah mean this girl there writhing on the bench and moaning in very sexual tones.
Well yes! It was a very interesting workout this morning! I wonder if we'll see an increase in male membership and attendance to the early morning session.. :D

I excercise regularly. I go to the gym on monday, wednesday and friday morning. I walk at least half an hour on tuesday and thursday morning , and monday thru friday evnings. I rest on saturday and sunday. Once i could get to excercise, read a good book and play my music, i am the happiest man in the world. "EXCERCISE IS TO THE BODY, WHAT READING IS TO THE MIND. Sometimes i feel like i'm the only guy who doh want to bulk up with muscle. When i hear meh friends talking proudly of how big dey arms get and so on, i does wonder if something wrong with me.
I trained in martial arts for about 14 years, since i was 12 years old. Had to quit because of lack of time. In those days i didnt focus much on strength training, because my artforms required me to train for speed. Bulking up would have definitely slowed me down.
I think if i start going to a normal gym i would only train with light weights, but ah studying how it go look (in front of de chicks) :) . Then i studying i might only go for like 6 months and then quit.
I think i will stick with my natural exercises; if i ever get the will to start training again.

your first mistake is to do things to make people like yuh. Do it for u. These chicks does cook yuh food? Pay yuh bills? SO who cares what some mindless bimbo thinks if u do light weights? You must remember that what u do in this life it affects you first so go continue your karate and do yuh light weights Kemist.

I think you are still a young man. I did karate up to five years ago with PURPLE DRAGON (MASTER DON JACOBS), QUEENS,NY next to AQUEDUCT RACE TRACK. I also did HATHA YOGA for a number of years. I go to the gym regularly; so even though i am not officially enrolled in karate classes or yoga classes i practice them very often. So take it from an old veteran, lift your weights, but stick with karate. KARATE IS NOT ONLY FOR KICKS. If you trained in martial arts for fourteen years you would have been very well toned. At my age i am fairly well 'CHISELLED'. I am 5ft, 4in, weigh 167 pounds with a 32 inch waist. AND STILL WORKING OUT VERY INTENSELY. DANCERBOY

the only problem i have is knowing i will not have much time to dedicate to it.
In the past, kung-fu was not just a hobby, but a way of life for me. I trained sunday to sunday-literally and in my mind training took precedence over everything else, including schoolwork. (Sometimes i wonder how i even passed academic exams in those days). While normal teens of those days went out liming, i was in the gym. As i strived for perfection, i knew training just 2 or 3 days a week wasnt going to cut it, especially since i was surrounded by training partners with the same dedication as i had. If i start back now i know my time may only be limited to about 2 hrs in two afternoons a week. I know its better than nothing, but i also know i cannot achieve perfection that way.
