Whats the difference between the different colour curries?

Ah wonder if shaddeck know bout red curry....

yes he does! he also knows bout green curry too. coloured curries can be had at any Thai restaurant and be bought at any asian store, dried or as ah paste.
north indian tandoori curries are not only yellow but red.
dey both can be homemade using red chilli powders for colouring or if you prefer it milder use red sweet paprika powder, jes add to your favourite curry mixture

Which ones are better suited for what type of dish?
Did u look at chica's receipe below?

750 g raw shrimps
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger
1 small stick cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon methi
2 strips lemon rind
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons paprika powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups coconut milk
Few curry leaves, in trini known as carrapulay(?)
Good squeeze lemon juice

Method :
Wash shrimps and remove the heads but leave the shells on. (shrimps are often cooked in their shells, for better flavor)

Put all ingredients except lemon juice, into a saucepan and bring slowly to simmering point. DO NOT BOIL- SHRIMP WILL BECOME RUBERRY

Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes or until onions are soft.

Add lemon juice and stir.

Taste and add more salt or lemon if required.

I indicated my intense dissatisfaction and disappointment.
My host however, felt it necessary to pay despite the lack of explanation for the marked difference in quality.
Needless to say, there will be no referrals or patronage from me henceforth.

I cant have ppl taking me out and one day the food good and the next day it so-so.the bigger question is whether you had two different ppl take you out. maybe it was a sign from the gods/chefs that you being to loose. but i digress.

it was good!
