I have promised myself that one day I must own a Chevrolette Corvette, customized by Calloway. That is if GM is still standing when I'm ready.

If I had a Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Plymouth or a Ford all I would do is throw now and slush too and I would have to get it for free cuz I will NEVER own one of those. I had a Plymouth Reliant [bought it brand new] and after 16200+ miles I wa driving down I-40 and the bloody thing just burst into flames.
In Port St Lucie, Fl. At a Mapco Express, I saw a Dodge Caravan also burst into flames at the gas pump ... I have never seen fire like that in all my life. There was a girl from Trinidad name Bianca Bernard who was severely burnt and is scarred for life.
I AM SCARED OF ALL CHRYSLER VEHICLES and as for my Volvo, I told them when I die ... prop me up in the front seat, put my dark sunglasses on, don't forget to put in my dentures and bury me in my Volvo or I will haunt thier backsides.

I AM SCARED OF ALL CHRYSLER VEHICLES  and as for my Volvo, I told them when I die ... prop me up in the front seat, put my dark sunglasses on, don't forget to put in my dentures and bury me in my Volvo or I will haunt thier backsides.
Like I said, we've been buying them for about 38 years......never had a 'car fire', or heard of a problem with Chryslers catching fire. They served us well, as a matter of fact the only reason why we changed cars so frequently is because of our 'commuting' distance to and from work (we did 130 miles a day ), we literally........'killed' cars, by the time we were done with them, (which is why we always ended up giving them to the kids :D ) they still looked good, but the mileage was off the charts :o
.....having said that, I did notice a difference in the quality, or should I say a 'challenge' to owners..... once they started 'computerizing' them.....big fault with the Chryslers today is that.... 'Check Engine' Light....too ambigious
....That 'warning light' is as helpful to a driver as a patient going into a doctors office and declaring....."I don't feel well"

What's so ambiguous? De light say Check Engine so check de damn engine nah!
It just means hook up the computer reader and see what it diagnoses...

Sorry ah miss dis post, ah jus see it......Yuh know how darm big ah engine is? an how much parts tuh it?
problem is even when Chrysler hook it up .....dey eh know wat rong, so dey start changing all kina ting dat doh need changing
Ah clue in dat it was a 'Chrysler flaw' one day when ah sittin in de shop (after ah drop it off fer service) an waiting fer de shuttle tuh drop tuh wuk....an ah hear de Service Manager torkin on de phone tuh de fellas in Engineering bout dis new 'Jeep' with the same problem.... 'check engine light'; he gettin all kina grief from de owner who real pissed bout this irritant.....
de Service manager rolling he eye and complaining because dey telling him dey doh even know why that happening tuh dey cars  ....."Even the Engineers at Chrysler doh know why it happening"
Lawd, when ah tell ah fella ah wuukin wid what ah hear, he say.... I know that, I have one ah dem cars, and I know just how tuh fix it, ah fix mine.....when ah ask him how? he say....."Ah disconnect de light"
Wha yuh go do, wha yuh go do :humm:

My dream car,if I was to win a LOTTO would be,The Bugatti Veyron, it is by every measure, the world's fastest production road car. It's the quickest to 60, it has the highest top speed, and it can absolutely dominate a track. With a claimed 1001 horsepower, the Veyron is a major technical achievement. Its engine has 16 cylinders, essentially formed by joining two V8 engines at the crank.
This W16 powerplant displaces 8.0 liters and features ten radiators for everything from the engine cooling systems to the air conditioner.
The $1.3 million Veyron will reach a top speed of 253 mph - a speed it can maintain for 12 minutes before all the fuel is gone. Power is transmitted to the pavement via four-wheel-drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission. The car can hit 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, 100 mph in 5.5 seconds, and 150 mph in 9.8 seconds. Getting to 200 mph takes 18.3 seconds, and 250 mph takes 42.3 seconds.
A special key is required to "unlock" the Veyron's top speed of 250+ mph. The car is then lowered to just 3.5 inches from the ground. A hydraulic spoiler extends at speed, and it can also serve as an air brake. The Veyron weighs a hulking 4,160 lbs, but even its harshest critics admit its handling is surprisingly sharp. Gordon Murray, designer of the McLaren F1 was very skeptical of the Veyron during its development, but after driving the finished car, he conceded it is a "huge achievement."
