People in T&T have you gotten your Poll card yet?
I got mine in the mail today.
Remember to open it and check to see where you have to go vote.
I know some people don't even open it and take it on day of Voting for the Poll Clerks to open it.
Opening it wud ensure that you go to your correct Station to Vote.
And even if you didn't get a Poll Card you can still go and have one made out for you.

Sap ,
It is the voters responsibility to find out where he /she is legible to vote .Twice for the year , the EBC post up at least 2 Electos list for every polling division .The EBC also puts ads in the newspaper as to where these lists are posted .
Unfortunately , Trinidad and Tobago do not have absentee ballot .Instead they have special ballot , which s limited to Election Day personnel and c and members of the protective service and just a few others.
It is my opinion that the law is changed to allow absentee ballots for all citizen who are unable to cast their vote in their polling station on Election Day .

That would make sense. I in Florida on my honeymoon right now and have to fly home to vote, then fly back up here to conduct some business. The consulate done tell me I can't vote by them.
My wife is Bahamian and for their elections their government flies them home to vote. I not asking for something like that but a little more consideration for the citizens to exercise their civic duty even if they're out of the country would be nice.

Here in NJ , you do not even need to give a reason for an absentee ballot .
All you have to do is request one via phone, email of visit the Election Department .
Tuesday November 6th is State Election in the US.
I have already voted since I will be on vacation .
Now why Trinidad cannot do something similar for its citizens ?

Yea as JP said there are lists from EBC posted in the area tht you can vote.
At the Poll Station on election day there is an Information officer tht can check the lists for you to direct you to where you have to vote, if its in tht station.
Most times people just go where they have been voting in the past.
Also if you don't have your ID but your name is on the lists you can still vote.
Right now Special electors are casting their Ballot but they don't dip their finger in ink after voting becos EBC said they don't want those electors to be so easily identified.
Now why Trinidad cannot do something similar for its citizens ?JPersad
