it was nice of Queen Latifah to speak nicely of Trinidad ? Yes because she stayed at the Hyatt Hotel on

Wrightson Road where security is high but went to Tobago and her friend was robbed while they were having a

special Brunch.Someone broke into the room and stole her cell phone and $10,000.00 worth of Jewelry around

lunch time.

The part now which they tried to stifle was this part:

On that very night after the first robbery of Latifah's friend a New York buisnessman was in his room with the

door locked and bandits broke down the door to his room and beat him and robbed him of a large sum of money

and jewelry.

The thing which is disturbing is this: (1) as they began to break down his door he called security.(2) They came

(15) minutes later and the thieves heard them and ran away.They left him with a black eye and bruises.(3) The

price per day for the Villa in a Gated community is $6,300.00 TT per day or Aproximately US 1,050.00 Plus Vat

plus service charge per day!

The entire community in TNT was outraged and the Politicians expressed it on TV and in the News papers. It

seems to me that Latifah's and her entourage may well have been given a " coplimentary" stay etc for their

silence and to refrain from telling all ...but you need to know that Crime in Tobago is increasing due to the fast

Ferry Boats which now brings the Criminals in by 9:am and takes them back to Trinidad by 7:30:AM...it is also

Tobagonians who are involved and as for the Villas the security people also! Two robberies in one day???

In the same place ?

Please,get real and stop hiding the crimes!

A member of Latifah entourage (yuh see how I know them big french words an ting) had some jewellry stolen from a room. That person was not robbed.

Police in Tobago have recovered jewelry valued at US$10,000 which was stolen from the Stone Haven Villas, where Hollywood star and Grammy Award winner, Queen Latifah, was staying with others on December 28 last year.

The jewelry, two rings and an ID band, were handed over to the police by the owner of a security firm who reportedly confessed to receiving the stolen jewelry from someone.

The recovery of the jewelry was made Monday night after a contingent of police officers under Ag Assistant Police Commissioner in charge of Tobago, Nadhir Khan arrested the suspect while he was walking on the streets in Bon Accord.
