This is a thread that I hope will not become a bickering contest between rival party supporters, so whether you are COP, PNM or UNC, could you please just post a one liner to this question ....
What is the #1 issue that decides which party gets your vote on Nov 5th ?
Be honest now...

Since everybody done saying crime then I going with
Environment. It's about time Trinidad started following developed nations and start looking at reducing our CO2 and other chemical emmissions. Global warming is everbody's concern.

National Security is my pick, crime, patriotism, national economic stability, health, social security and education are equally important.

My concerns are: Wasteful spending, Corruption, Crime, Health Care and Management of the country with regard to accountability.
In short, the PNM and banishing them to an ever lasting slumber to the abyss!
Health and Crime...and to honestly do something about the South to North traffic
Crime [whether it be white collar or any form of violence]. Once we could stem that then we will have discipline and things could go forward.
Good Governance!! Whether it be crime, the economy, the environment etc. etc. is all tied into good governance.

(1) Crime. I shouldn't have to worry about getting kidnapped, everytime I take my benz out for a spin. I shouldn't have to barricade myself behind brc wire, to keep out fellas who are trying to break in and steal my Jordans and bling.
(2) Healthcare. The elderly and poor citizens do not deserve to be treated like refugees. Folks shouldn't have to take their own beds and linens, not to mention drugs, when they go to the nation's hospitals.
(3) Water for all. How hard is that?
While crime is the # 1 issue, the others are equally important and quite doable. If only we could rid ourselves of gross incompetence ( Patrick take ah hike nah! ) and turn the ship around. We certainly don't need a leader who puts himself first, fattening up his wallet, putting his whole family on the payroll, building mini palaces, desiring private jets or wanting to overstay his damn welcome.

My number one issue is planning for the future.
How are we restructuring our economy to reduce the dependence on oil and gas so that when we run out in 12-20 years my children will not be left in a country on the road to ruin.
My other related issue is the spending on infrastructure projects which put up big buildings, etc. which will not be sustainable.
My third issue is nepotism in politics. What is mickela, and hazel doing in politics?

I don't understand. .Are you telling me Gary and Nicole is Dookeran illegitimate children?
Both Mickela and Hazel were put there because of their relationship with the leaders of the respective parties.
Mickela is where she is solely because of nepotism within the UNC. The same goes for Hazel Manning.
Panday wants a dynasty and Mickela is far more likely to lead the UNC in the future than Kamla. Watch and see.

Alright let us try this again… since you want to keep it to the leaders
The same thing Dookeran & Rabindra Moonan doing
The same thing George Bush Sr. & George Bush Jr. doing
The same thing Bill Clinton & Hillary Clinton doing

Take this to the bank !
As soon as the UNC loses this election , Panday is going ton mash up the UNC , form a new party and start grooming Mikela as the next leader .
Only problem , he no longer commands the support that he once had, thanks to his selfish actions .

This is not a statement against the PNM, but against our system . I am against having the same individual being prime minister for more than two terms.

I would say not more than two consecutive terms.
