for those of us that indulge in alcohol. or rather the MIXING of alcohol...

what are your favourite drinks?
how do you mix your cocktails, or do you have any original recipes?

here are my favourites:

long island iced tea
three parts vodka
three parts tequila (ONLY JOSE CUERVO!!!!)
three parts white rum
three parts triple Sec
three parts gin
five parts lemon juice
five parts simple syrup
a dash of coke

mix all the ingredients in glass over ice, stir, garnish and serve.

margarita
seven parts tequila (again, ONLY JOSE CUERVO)
four parts triple sec
three parts lemon or lime juice
(i also like one part amaretto)

rub the rim of the glass with the lime slice to make the salt stick to it. shake (or blend) the other ingredients with ice, then carefully pour into the glass.

3 measures of Gordon's Gin
1 measure of vodka
1/2 measure Kina Lillet
lemon peel for garnish

Caiparinha (sorry for my misspelling of it) is Brazillian rum, served with muddled sugar, fresh limes and sugar.

1 shot southern comfort
1/2 shot of lime cordial
topped with sprite or 7 up or ginger ale.

vodka
chambord

If the answer is yes and no respectively, I'll drink it.

I'm also partial to a good Bloody Mary (or any of the other "Bloody" variations... Scotsman, Mollies, Pirate, etc.).

Oh man....... Frozen Margaritas..... my Summer favourite.

Ingredients
- 6 ounces limeade, frozen, undiluted
- 6 ounces tequila
- 3 ounces triple sec
- 4 cups crushed ice
- 3 or 4 scoups of key lime sherbet

garnish:
lime juice, fresh
coarse salt
- 1 lime, thinly sliced

Directions
Pour tequila, triple sec and frozen limeade into blender. Combine.
Add crushed ice and sherbet to mix and blend until it becomes slushly in texture.
Freeze in container until ready to serve. Garnish with lime.
