And I think if they didn't feel sorry for Steyn, he would have been the best ODI player too.
Well done by our boy. It's probably tough for guys like him and Lara to be at the top of their games and still be playing for a team that's stuck in 8th position

travesty that he wasn't test player of the year too.......I think Dhoni had the limited overs business tied up....
he deserves it..........(in spite of the love of a not out)

Chanders surely deserves this. :)
Falcon, you cruel you know :)
It just easier for the opposition to get the other 10 wickets than to out Shiv.

Aye, remember it have nutting called Pres Chaguanas eh.......there is BUT ONE PRES! ...and that's in the southland, and coincidentally the ground is/was BY Southland!! And as that dim Gay Guy would say, 'bahahahaha' (yes, I know!)
GayGuy, I was hounded by 5 teams this year to play matches for them. Made it to all 5 teams, and contributed greatly with both bat and ball. The one blemish was a catch put down at mid-off, no excuses there. And well, that one time that I was supposed to be the rock, and fell for a paltry 5....but coming back with the ball for a 5-fer was consolation and a half! Look, the commanding 64 , opening the innings, to rescue my side from 23-6 to the 200 required for victory in the Sunday 20/20 was talked about for weeks! It even made BBC Radio 4 (not a word of a lie, since I partnered the announcer to bring the victory home!
Look, this ent degge degge cricket in the U S of HAY eh pardna, dis is real cricket, in the home of cricket. So as young master Ali would say, 'doan diss', or was it 'doan test', or something!
Like the most exciting batsman to walk upon the face of this planet, I don't target not outs. The substantive contribution is reward enough, er, breds!
Acid, yuh see how yuh make me haveta set that GayGuy, errrrr, straight!!! (insert bahahaha here)

Aye, Dotish. We tawkin but playin' cricket wit ah rell bat an ball eh. An overhan bowlin too. Not dat girlie-man game wit ah tennis ball an bowlin underhan. Ah sure yuh does score hundreds an ting buh dais nor rell cricket. Bahahahahaha!!!!!.
Now, on a serious note; I am, of course, delighted that you play the game and play it very well. That was an incredible batting performance and superb bowling spell. Congratulations on that performance. I would have liked to have been there - you know that I'd have been loudly cheering you on. As for the dropped catch; it happens. I've dropped severas 'lollies' in my time yet managed to take some that were impossible - just the breaks or luck I guess. So long as it doesn't become a habit then it's okay.
Great going man. Keep it up.
Just as a FYI; The Cricket in the USA is pretty good considering that it's not a Cricketing country. The majority of players are immigrants and many are former test or First Class players. Even Shivs takes a knock now and then down in Florida. Each year we host one of the teams or at least a majority of its members from England, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh. Only the WICB has constantly refused to allow the WICC to come to SoCal because we refused to pay them $10,000 USD that they demanded many years ago. However, individual test players come on their own. And, though I have never been a "cricketeer" of any distinction, I have played in games against many of the world's best - even though I always did poorly against them.
And, I just know that this tidbit of information will tickle you; the captain of my club team was Oscar Durity - a Presman who played for T&T in the late 60s & 70s.

when cricket 20/20 reach Olympics, America will be a force. WICB still stuck in the stone ages.
